Location in proximity to attractions. Specific location is a bit sketchy but does feel fairly secure with gated access.
Photos & description are grossly misleading. The rooms (we had 3) wreaked of smoke, shower curtains especially pungent. One “ had literal rat feces on both beds. Doors were broken. Dirty walls. Holes. Tub filled while showering. Bullet hole in table.

The first room was dirty with stains on the sheets and smell like old cigars , the person moved my room to another room which was very dirty the walls , doors , floors , shower certain the first room didn’t have a fridge or table the second room did i had to buy cleaning supplies to disinfect the room pillows were stained there was a cockroach in the room

I liked how I made a comment in the reservation about arriving a little later than checking in, and someone reached out to me about the exact time I would arrive. Also, every time I called, I always got an answer, and all my questions or concerns were answered in a timely manner and also were very knowledgeable and respectfully. Lastly, I liked it was gated and had a convenient store right 8n front and the hotel were not surrounded by a lot of things that was restricting view and it was easy shopping and restaurants close by. It had a trash can a few doors down from my room, so clean up was a breeze. I like to add that the door automatically locked when closed, which was good and bad if you actually forgot the room key inside.
The entrance was a little confusing on the road to get there. I actually turned into the store parking lot that's actually right in front of the hotel, but I then made the correct turn to the entrance. I did not like that the door needed a kick at the bottom to fully close, and the bathtub faucet was a little confusing on how to operate it. I thought I couldn't get any hot water, and the shower curtain looked as though it needed to be cleaned. The tub was much higher than I am familiar with (meaning it was a high step in and hard step down when getting in and out of it). The curtains in the room were not closing completely, and I had to keep fixing them. It had a smoke smell in the room, and I asked for a non-smokers room. I had to call about the microwave that was missing in the room, but it was brought to me in just a few minutes, and it worked perfectly.

It was pretty close to the French Quarter and it was cheap.
The pictures do not represent the actual state of the hotel. It is definitely 'get what you pay for' situation. I paid $55 for one night. I wasn't expecting it to be wonderful but it was exactly what I paid for.

It was in a good location—right down the road from food and shopping and 15 minutes away from entertainment. Comfortable beds. Quiet area.
