Excellent place to stay in the French Quarter. Although close to Bourbon Street, reasonably quiet at night (we had a street-facing room). The inner courtyard was a beautiful place to sit and relax; staff very friendly and helpful.

We were at the back of this courtyard which seemed private. French doors to greet you when you enter the room from outside, then a very tall ceiling as you entered. Nice tile floor throughout. Bathroom was clean & very nice. Outside especially around the pool area was absolutely stunning. A tree overshadowed part of the pool, but added such an ambiance whether day or night. Favorite place to be! The courtyards were unique with a mixture of brick, stone & wood along with the setup of how room were placed. Very friendly staff, which even let my wife use a wheelchair without a charge. Definitely will stay there again even if it means an extra day in New Orleans after the cruise!
Leaves could have been cleaned out of the pool more often. Too bad there's no more breakfast being served after covid.

We picked this hotel based on your reviews. We were celebrating a special occasion and decided to splurge on a courtyard room. We spent around $340 a night for a room that had no windows (except for the door which showed a sliver of light), next to the ice machine (which was used all night), next to an outside table where people partied till late and the smell of the room was of a cheap motel. I found the room to be dark and depressing. Loved the location of the hotel just hated our room.

Courtyard and overall ambiance was amazing. You definitely feel like you are in NOLA compared to a chain hotel.
The room was pretty but rather tired. Lot's of scratches on walls. There was toothpaste in shower from last guest. Luckily we only stayed overnight and chose not to shower.

The courtyard was beautiful, the location ideal, the staff wonderful. We had an inside room so very quiet. The bathroom upgrade was great.

I loved the location near Jackson Square. The staff were very cool, housekeeping was on point. The bed was comfortable and the shower was spacious and clean.
The pool/hot tub was kind of dirty and the hallways were slightly tatty.

Courtyard is beautiful, feels like an oasis from the chaos.
Bed was big and comfortable and Aircon was great. Room was big and comfortable.
Location couldn't be better
The doors on the room didn't seem the most secure, probably fine in the courtyard but security is always a concern In new Orleans.

Hotel was wonderful. A little slice of paradise. Beautiful red brick courtyards, with fountains and a pool. Hotel has beautiful architecture. Every member of staff was just so friendly, helpful and warm. Hotel really well located. It no longer does breakfasts...but that's not a problem, there are a plethora of options a short stroll away.
Our room, which was on the ground floor facing onto one of the beautiful redbrick courtyards was a little musty smelling. My sister and her husband, who had a room directly across the courtyard on the first floor said the same of their room. I wouldn't want the room to smell of an artifical plug in air freshner, but the musty smell was not pleasant.
