Was not expecting how incredibly adorable this hotel was. The pictures do not do it justice. Very clean. And the decor was perfectly New Orleans!

Good
The location was good. Bars and restaurants close by. A short walk to Frenchman’s street a bit further to “The French Quarter.” The court yard was nice with tables to hang at. It was quiet and secure. A little fridge to keep cold drinks or yogurt. The staff is wonderful. Very nice. Helpful. Friendly.
The room was small with no window. A windowed door. Floor was cement and dirty. Made your feet dirty. No place to hang clothes. Not even a hook or nail. Air conditioner didn’t work but it wasn’t hot during our stay. Would have been nice just to have on to freshen the room. We tried keeping the door open but people kept coming over to question if we were ok and why was the door open. Nice to know people are watching for you but……….

Disappointing
The staff was very freindly and helpful. The hotel was within walking distance of the French Quarter, Jackson Square, and Bourbon Street. The shower was hot with good water pressure. The bed was comfortable, the lights worked, and the ceiling fan worked at just one speed. Stayed several nights because of the staff and location.
There is no onsite free parking at the hotel only parking on the small dirty street adjacent to the hotel and only if there's an available spot, the hotel neighborhood had homeless, drug addicts, stray dogs and cats, and street people milling around mostly at night and also staying at the hotel in a few of the rooms, ice machine was no where to be found, smoking and ash trays outside every room, the room was advertized as a deluxe single room but was very small, the heating and cooling unit was broken and did not work at all, dirty vintage floors, no microwave in the room, undersized mini fridge, broken shade over the window that did not keep out the daylight or anyone walking by and peering in, also that window in the room wouldn't open because it was painted shut, no screen if you could get the window open, deadbolt didn't latch unless you pushed hard against the door and lifted up, walls very thin and door not weather proofed, you could hear loud noises and conversations in the courtyard and adjacent rooms, a few roaches came out at night in the room. Usually scattered when turned on the lights. One small one crawled over the bedding while I was texting my third night. Grabbed it and chucked it in the toilet and flushed it away. Had about a dozen bites on my legs and arms after sleeping in the room for a couple nights. Checked for bed bugs but didn't see any in the sheets. Figured it was no seeums getting in through the cracks and space in the door. In conclusion, the hotel is no longer what it once was and historic is an understatement. It is very rundown and in a poor part of town. I would never stay there again unless vast investment and improvements were made both inside and outside their rooms.

Very Poor
Location and staff
Shower and bathtub were dirty. Floor was greasy and nasty. Towels had stains, sheets had stains. Dirty chair in the room. Room smelled like cigarettes. I ended my trip 2 days early and lost it on $600 because of how bad this place was.

Place could use a remodel not just a paint job. It was a bit worn out.

Very Poor
Typically I like to be fair in my reviews and try to at least find one positive, but I am having difficultly coming up with one single thing that I liked about staying at this location.
It felt like I booked a hotel room that was literally in the middle of a renovation. You had concrete pavers taped off in the courtyard in preparation for painting. The room was small and not clean. There was no closet or rod to hang my clothes. The refrigerator was out of place lying on the floor instead of elevated on a table. The walls are paper thin. I could hear almost every other guest that touched my room. The maintenance staff were weird and made uncomfortable conversation. There was a can of raid sitting on the flimsy and cheap looking shelve. Walls needed painting. I did not turn it on, but the TV was tiny. The AC did not function properly. When I walked to the bathroom in the morning, I stepped in a puddle of water. Not sure where it come from but it was there. There were light bulbs missing from the ceiling fixture. If I were going to run a successful hotel, I would do the complete opposite of everything this hotel does.

The front desk staff member was kind, accommodating, and professional.
The room was old, dusty, and poorly maintained. The bedsheets had visible hair and cigarette burns, and the floors were sticky. The air conditioner and heater were extremely loud and clearly in need of cleaning or new filters. The shower had very low water pressure and was barely functional. The building itself felt run-down, and everything in the room and surrounding areas seemed like it was on the verge of breaking. The area was also very loud at night, with disruptive and inconsiderate noise from other guests. Given the condition of the room and the overall experience, this hotel was grossly overpriced. My allergies flared up severely due to the amount of dust and filth in the room, to the point that I checked out early and chose to spend extra time at the airport instead. Overall, this stay was uncomfortable and unpleasant. I strongly recommend avoiding this property.

Cute place, loved the colors. Yari was absolutely phenomenal!
It was not very clean. Hair in the sink and shower, mirror and glass looked like it hasn't been cleaned in some time, outside sheet on bed had stains from previous guests.
