Even though the hotel was old, they went out of their way to allow access through the parking lot For my electric scooter and placed us in a room close to the rear.
Not that they had any control over it. But a lot of the doors being that the buildings are old are offen.

The location was great for Mardi Gras. It was close to all the live music bars we wanted to go to and close enough to Canal street to watch the parades. It was the perfect location for going to Bourbon St because it was nearby but located in a much quieter part of the neighborhood.
In the mornings people were very loud in the halls with a lot of talking and banging doors. The hall has hardwood floors which are also very loud.

The property is in a prime location, walking distance to Frenchman St for live music and tons of great food.
If you want a place to lay your head, this is a great hotel in a great location. If you want any amenities with your stay, perhaps this isn’t the place for you. This isn’t a knock, it’s a very old building.

Great location, extremely close to the French market and just a couple blocks to walk to Bourbon St. The staff is exceptional and very friendly. The balcony room was spacious and very clean. I would definitely come and stay again.

Location
They moved us to another J Collection property the day before and then moved us again the morning of check-in day. The property they moved us to was way below par, with loud parties in the central courtyard, heating that couldn’t keep up with a cold night, thin blankets and no hot water. We paid for a much nicer hotel than where we ended up.

Great hotel and perfectly matched my expectations. The hotel is quite close to the main areas for bars, restaurants, etc. with a 10-15 minute walk depending on where you are going. Easy check-in and lovely staff. I would stay here again.

I loved the location. It's in a quieter part of the french quarter so if you aren't there to party or you have kids it's perfect.
It's older and could use some upgrades, such as the elevator is creaky. There is a bar but it was never open. Beds aren't very comfortable. I liked the digital key but it is was very slow and sometimes our phones didn't connect.

Location was amazing (end of French Quater/ beginning of Frenchmen street). Rebecca (front desk) was so kind and exactly the type of person you hope for when traveling to New Orleans. She gave us real southern hospitality and kindness! Bed was very comfortable and waters were always available at the front desk. Keep in mind, this is an older city and the hotel represents that in the best ways. It’s modern and upgraded but if you’re someone with a lot of expectations and needs room service, go to a chain hotel. If you want an authentic experience, stay here! We will be back!

Loved the property and location near the French Market. The room and balcony were nice bringing back the nostalgia of New Orleans. I enjoyed not having to worry about my vehicle behind the gated parking lot. Staff was very friendly.

We had an outstanding stay at the property. The staff is incredible! We are planning another trip and intend to stay at Le Richelieu.
We had a couple of little issues but we reported them and they fixed it immediately! The staff is so attentive.

The location was perfect, I have no complaints about that. However I suggest you don’t even bother with the paperwork until you get there because you’ll have to do it all again at check in regardless so I wasn’t too pleased with that since we were very tired getting there. Then the 45$ per night parking isn’t really optional because we were told street parking was for residents so be ready for that. The place was very clean, old and beautiful. The balcony was a little small and precarious but yes it was technically a balcony overlooking the parking lot… There is a safe and a mini fridge in there no microwave. Oh, and don’t expect to sleep in unless you are a deep sleeper because about daybreak until 9 people are slamming doors and throwing things around, not sure what was going on but that was my experience. You can definitely hear everything from the room across from you and the hallways. Room service does come in and clean while you are out during the day. Everything else was great though and check out was easy. Close to a ton of food places and cool shops. Not bad for a short stay.

The hotel is located in a very quiet area of the French Quarter. The room was very spacious. The hotel staff was very attentive to the guest. I like that the staff immediately moved us quickly to another balcony room on the second floor when it rain in our balcony room 302. I liked that the room 302 has 2 balconies( this would be a perfect room when there is no rain in the forecast). I like the gated parking. I like that the hotel offer free bottle of water and morning coffee.
It rained in our room 302. The rain came in through the bathroom window and from the front balcony.
