The room they gave me the keys to, and then claim 3 after was incorrect, was spacious
The rumors went answering any kind of question that I made like if they gave something for breakfast besides coffee, the owner stated that well you have 15,000 restaurants and walking distance. Because I know this man hasn't walked 5 MI from that specific spot I'm sure it doesn't know there are 15,000 restaurants in the area because there's not only restaurants and walking distance in that specific area.
Didn't like that it seems they believed I was relative to elastic girl or read Richards when they started calling at 7:00 a.m. stating that who are you what are you doing that room when in the checking process they made a total illegal thing at least in my country that is copying your actual ID let's say like a social security number here and my debit card, claiming this was the only way they could know who I was instead of waiting for me to give them my passport. So uh-huh now I know that this gaming part of the email is definitely was from there and because the only thing that I was missing was receiving an email from the Texas millionaire saying that they were going through a rough patch and that they needed me to mail them $1k, so they can send me a million dollars. Like I told the police over the phone if I get any identity problems like identity theft or anything like that it was originated in this place that talks really bad about the place and about you that you're sponsoring a place like this knowing that people after booking with them they receive this kind of emails I have never in my life received an email like this.

Each apartment has character. The pool is the perfect place to relax, cool off, or take a break. This place is for adults who like autonomy and freedom to do their own thing, can be genuinely friendly, and can handle their drink without being obnoxious. If you're looking for a non-smoking pristine place that caters to your every whim, with 24/7 customer service and daily house keeping, please don't come here and ruin it for the rest of us. This place is an acquired taste, and I loved every minute of it!

We wanted to like this property more than we did, but there were some great things about Chateau Orleans. 1) The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating! They were quick with advice (on things like parking and safety) and even allowed someone from our party to check in early unexpectedly. 2) The location really is perfect. You are steps away from Bourbon street (but far enough away that you can sleep soundly at night), 10 minutes walking from Jackson Square, and about 15-20 minutes from almost anything you want to do in NOLA. 3) The courtyard is super cute.
Despite those positives, we probably won't stay here again. Our biggest issue was around cleanliness. While we don't mind that certain aspects of the unit were outdated (small beds, old quilts), we did mind that things weren't very clean. The vents were mildewy, with clumps of dust and dirty water stains dripping from them. The freezer was rusted inside. The walls had scuff marks and stains in places. And worst of all, there were cockroaches in the pipes! We know the weather and age of NOLA means keeping all bugs out of rooms is an impossible task. But over our 3 day stay, we had 4-5 HUGE cockroaches in the sinks, shower, and bathroom.

The pull out couch was a nice feature for extra sleeping options but a foam mattress topper would go a long way for making it more comfortable (we could feel the springs)

I liked the coded entry. Short walk to bourbon street cvs/walgreens, karaoke/ pool tables at the Garage bar on Conti, and good food. The bike taxies wilk take u there for cheap from casino or even Jackson square. Room service doesn't bother you during your stay unless you request them. The rooms are actually apartments with mini frig dishes 2 burner stove and coffee pot. No sugar but they have some at the coffee station near the pool though??
Minor complaints. No biggy. There is no tv in the bedroom. I was a group sooo... Can hear people and lound music from cars all day and night. I wasn't bothered and I slept on the let out which was so big I never let it out??, so I can't tell u if it's comfy Sorry, in the room off the patio but 1 off the other roomies was bothered so I mentioned it. We stayed directly over the pool during Mardi Gra so I think it would be fine in the off season. Oh my toilet was right up against the left wall not the greatest for a claustrophobic leftly but not a major issue... just leave the shower curtain open to create open space feeling. Shower is huge.

Loved the location! Right in the heart of the French Quarter easy to walk to everything! We had a very dramatic antique king like bed and beautiful chandelier with a sofa and excellent tv choices. We were on the first floor which walked right out to the pool - a treat in the city! Very quiet and relaxing setting. The host was very friendly.
There was a towel bar that was broken in the shower area but we wondered if that had happened recently because we were staying the week after the Super Bowl.

Room did not meet expectations. Bathroom stall was dirty, too small, no hot water. Informed the front desk, was never fixed during our 4 day stay. Bed was too small. There may be better rooms but A13, labeled "Penthouse" is far from it.
