We had a king Suite that was in the corner and had 4 window seats that had pillows facing the Chicago River.. Incredible view!
Elevator broke down but was quickly repaired. Only one working elevator in all.

Excellent location - walking distance to many attractions. Convenient valet parking (priced in accordance w/ a city like Chicago). Comfortable rooms. So called "river view" rooms are bit of stretch w/ regards to the view - the water just barely visible. Even so - the bay windows were nice to sit and look outside - esp. at night. We were not told that daily housekeeping must be requested at check in - or else it is not done (as is usually the norm at most US hotels). That caused an inconvenience the following day w/ us needing to request the same; but the staff was unable to even provide a time frame of when the housekeeping would be done - so we could not plan to be out during that time. Eventually - we waited in the lobby while the cleaning was completed. All of this was avoidable - if addressed at check-in.

Great location near the river, shopping and restaurants. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Room was large and comfortable with fantastic views.
One of the elevators was out of service, leaving only one elevator. That led to long wait times In the morning.

The beds were comfortable, Wi-Fi worked well, and I especially appreciated the many furniture surfaces and roomy drawers for laying out belongings and staying organized. Bedside charging outlets/ports were very convenient, the electric kettle and coffee machine were genuinely useful, and the in-room fabric steamer was a thoughtful touch. One standout amenity was the JBL Bluetooth speaker, which was genuinely excellent—not just a token gadget, but a properly sized speaker with impressively good sound quality and volume for a hotel room. Climate control worked well, with manual adjustment rather than an over-automated system. The lobby is not huge, but it offers enough comfortable seating for relaxing, chatting, studying, or eating takeout. Krave Station in the lobby was genuinely useful, offering espresso drinks, regular coffee and water during the day. The TV offers a decent selection of basic channels as well as orderable on-demand movies. Chromecast works fine.
The closet in my particular room, which was a 2 QUEEN RIVER VIEW ROOM, was one of the weak points: vertical hanging space was too short for dresses or longer garments, which was inconvenient. In my subsequent stay at another room type, the closet was an upgraded version (a full closet room) and worked perfectly fine, however. One of the hotel’s two elevators was out of service throughout the stay. Because all guests were relying on a single elevator, this could be highly inconvenient at times. No bottled water and no slippers provided in the room. Despite the hotel website listing complimentary cozy socks as an in-room amenity, none were found in the room. They are available upon request, but it was odd not to find them already provided. Only one bathrobe was in the room even though the reservation was for two adults. The hotel did provide another one promptly when I requested it. The bathroom was good, but could benefit from more hooks or towel bars for hanging towels or clothing. A detachable shower head would also have been a welcome improvement. The TV could benefit from a built-in Netflix app or some streaming options because Chromecast does not work with certain iOS apps. The Krave Station was advertised to provide “mid-day snacks” in addition to coffee and water. I was curious about this and looked forward to seeing what was offered, but despite multiple passes through the lobby area during my stay (with one pass during the likely relevant time), I never actually encountered any snacks. It would be a nice improvement if this offering were made available more consistently or more generously throughout the day.
