Location. Access to CTA. Bed was comfortable.
Room was an accessible room and as such, the shower left a lot to be desired. Had to hold the shower head in hand to use, water went all over the place due to no step and short shower curtain. Condition of bathroom was not great. Refills of coffee/tea don’t happen unless you ask for it. Toilet paper refills had to be requested. View from room was non-existent.

I had to reach in shower to turn on the water so you get wet with cold water while you adjust your temperature. No shelf in the shower so the shampoo etc was on the very small counter by the sink. No extra shelving in the bathroom. The shower leaked all over the floor due to poor design and placement of shower heads. When housekeeping cleaned my room they did not replace my bath mat or towels and did bit refill my coffee pods.

Location is great
No hair dryer, or tumble dryer (whatever that is.) no cups in the room. Disappointed there wasn't even a microwave for the price of the room.

Room was beautifully updated. Had ample mirrors and outlets for my 2 friends and I to get ready for a concert at the Aragon Ballroom. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Checking in and out was very simple and easy. Definitely will be staying here again.
One of the elevators door was very rattley/shaky, which was a little unnerving. However, elevators just make me nervous in general. The elevators we took worked just fine.

We have been staying here yearly since 1990. Sometimes I wonder if nothing has changed - yet - if you get a cozy room or suite with updated carpeting and homey art and a lake view PERFECT! But if not you might get a “modern” room with the ambiance of a towable trailer. What the place lacks occasionally will be tolerated for the location and access to recreation, the zoo, the beaches, Michigan Ave, Old Town, dining, entertainment etc. My suggestion if updating is the plans would be to not go all out sterile modern. The best rooms in this place have an understated elegance and comfortableness. If all modern plain sterile rooms I’m moving on to another hotel.
