the staff is very friendly, the location is excellent, there’s free parking, and the pool is clean and pleasant. Overall, it’s a very comfortable hotel, but a few updates would make the experience much better.
Although the hotel has been remodeled, there are still several areas that need improvement. The air conditioning units are very old, noisy, and should be replaced. The bathrooms lack trash bins, enough towel hooks, and basic toiletries. We had to switch rooms twice—once due to no hot water, then again because there was no safe and the construction noise was too loud.
The breakfast could be more varied, especially with more options for eggs or protein. The Wi-Fi was also unreliable and would sometimes stop working.

Rooms were clean, airy and modern. Car park was big with no issues getting a space. It was easy to find on iDrive. Laundry was a great added facility too.
The breakfast was included but wasn’t brilliant, eggs tasted like they’d been nuked. Way too much disposable plastic. No plates or cutlery just disposables. Breakfast offering was cheap unhealthy food - basically a buffet full of cheap carbs, I went to Walmart and bought my own and just added a bagel with cream cheese. It was free though and the orange juice was good

The hotel is close to everything. 2 minutes to Universal and 15 to Disney. No parking or resort fees. Nice large rooms that were clean and comfortable.
Smaller pool and not a lot of amenities, but good for the price. Small amount of breakfast choices.

Central location
After booking, the hotel messages me that the security deposit is actually double of the amount listed online. So $500 deposit to stay because my ID is less than 35 miles from the hotel. Room was listed as a double queen but the beds are actually doubles. Definitely will not stay again even with a free stay.

Good location. mostly really great Reception staff except for 1 mature female who was less than helpful with an entitled attutude. Breakfast room spacious and enough variation of items on offer.
We were moved rooms 7 days into a 10 night stay with no notice or apology due to ongoing renovation work which was very noisy and messy.

Location to universal parks is nice, but they only have 1 shuttle time 7am and 5pm. So if you miss these (parks open at 9am) or want to stay later than 5pm you’ll need to uber ($6-$20).
Pool was nice but we were under the impression that both pools and rooftop bar were open to all guests. That’s not the case, only “club” members get access to rooftop amenities.
There is no warning of construction until AFTER you pay for your stay, then they send you an email about current construction. The construction is every day starting around 7:30 am so if youre expecting to sleep in on any days, don’t book here.
They had water shut off numerous days during our stay and the hot water is EXTREMELY inconsistent. When we asked other guests in the elevators if they had hot water they also said no. We informed staff and asked they sent a maintenance man who simply said he’d check the boiler but nothing had changed.
The breakfast is okay, they have a small pancake maker that takes 60 seconds per tiny pancake. They switch between boiled eggs, sausage patties, or powdered eggs for “proteins”.
Tv does not work. Only had 3 channels, 2 news and 1 1970s game show. I told front desk and she said it’s “probably everyone’s tv” with no attempt to help or send maintenance. None of the apps work on the tv or live channels. No tv the entire trip.
They put us in a newly renovated room but the door to get inside was stuck every time and you had to use all of your weight to push it open. The bathroom barn door was not easy to open and close (plus zero privacy due to it being a barn door with huge gaps on the sides you could literally see in the bathroom and hear everything). On top of no tv in a newly renovated room and really uncomfortable mattress (I’m 21 and my back ached every morning). The fitted sheet is like a half fitted sheet and came off of the bed anytime you moved exposing the mattress.
One of the lady’s at the front desk is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. We asked to extend our stay 2 nights and all she said was that we had to book through booking.com. The next day we came down and asked a different employee, Bertha, who was the most friendly person. They need more employees with her attitude! The complete opposite of the other employee, who can’t even seem to put a smile on her face.

Nice to have breakfast included.
The lady at reception the day of arrival was not friendly, no smile, stood at the desk and no eye contact , just kept on texting on her cell phone and took deep breath before asking me what i wanted. No Hello or how are you, was surprised to see somebody with no personality serving clients. Made me feel as if i was bothering her.
My friend had arrived earlier and was not pleasant to her either.
But the next morning the lady who was working had a smile and was very pleasant. So i would still highly recommend hotel since that lady did not seem to love her job she probably want be there for long, that what i hope for you guys!
