Comfortable beds and good location.
Our first visit, about a year ago, started off poorly when we were given a key to a room that was already occupied. That was awkward. After returning to the front desk, we were told there were no other rooms available even though we booked in advance and were sent to a different hotel down the road in a large suite. While the suite itself was nice, we specifically chose this hotel so we could stay in the same building as our daughter, who was there with her school for an event in Orlando.
On our second visit, we ran into several issues again. The air conditioning did not work because it was apparently shared with a neighboring suite that had the heat on. We had to sleep with the window open, which made outside noise very loud. One of our room keys did not work. The bathroom faucet leaked all over the counter every time it was used, making it impossible to leave anything there and requiring constant wiping. The door was not sealed properly—we could literally see people walking by through the gaps, which made it noisy and kept us up most of the night. It felt like every person walking by, talking, or even using the ice machine was right outside our room. The TV was also very difficult to use, overly sensitive, and had blurry screen quality. Front desk button on the phone didn’t work. Broken mirror on the floor of the elevator our whole 4 days visit. Had to each day kill silver fish bugs that would be crawling around on the floor.
The positives were a comfortable bed, good shower water temperature however the shower head is placed in a why that you get sprayed with it regardless of which way you point it, so when you want to start your shower and warm it up, you get sprayed with ice cold water and there’s no way of adjusting it. The hotel is also conveniently location with many nearby options. However, after these repeated experiences, I’m glad this will be the last time we need to stay here.
