The hotel is stylishly renovated and clean. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Pool area was well stocked with beds and towels and the water was warm. The position facing the ocean was lovely and a relatively easy walk into the shops, bars and restaurants of Santa Monica.
A huge mix up with the booking and feel we were charged far too much by Booking.com but the hotel couldn’t do anything about the price they said. (They were helpful in other ways but left us feeling overcharged)
Not sure we got the ocean suite that we had booked - didn’t look like the pictures online.
Unfortunately the weather was not playing fair either and the view to the ocean was almost always shrouded in mist. (Not a reflection on the hotel just a disappointment when we’d booked an ocean view).

Next big minus - “breakfast included” means 30 dollars per person, not included!! We asked about it every day and staff was “yeah no problem” and when we checked out we had to pay over 600 dollars more! This is crazy!
I told the lady at receptionist that and we got discount about 100 dollars.
Next BIG minus : for every night there is a resort fee 50 dollars. This was so unpleasent surprise.
So in total: staff was amazing, nice and friendly. But our stay was 1000 per night and for this money, i guess you will get better stay. Staff is only reason to go there :)

Good location,spacious room, expensive breakfast although our room rate includes breakfast that covered juice and coffee only everything else you pay extra.
The carpeted floor in the room makes the air stuffy uncomfortable to breathe.
