The young man who check Us in was patient and friendly. It took forever to get checked in. There were not enough people working the desk. However, once there the customer service was right on.

Bed very comfortable. In the new towers lived the view.
If I parked at the hotel for one night the cost for my SUV was going to be $106.00. J paid $46 at the parking garage down the street.

The bed was comfy.
The windows were dirty. We asked for a city view and did not get it, even though we paid for it. On checking in, there was a 20-25 minute wait at front desk, and only 2 employees on duty. When it was my turn, the clerk took a family of 8 that had come in from Union Square side rather than garage side where 'line' forms, where there's a stand saying wait here, or something to that effect. Then, she insisted I needed to pay $35 fee for tax usage which included $20 towards a meal, x amount of dollars towards a tour, etc. I thought it was bogus but after driving 6 hours, having an appointment in the City, then coming to the St. Francis, standing in line for all that time was horrible, and I didn't have the energy to fight it. Not the St. Francis I remember.

Classy, historic hotel in prime location. Tower rooms get good view on high floors. Glass elevators to tower rooms.
The refurbishment going on to lobby area/restaurant/bar. I wish we had known before booking. They need to clean the windows outside.

Great location. On Saturday morning at either 11 or 12, one of the staff give a tour. He’s superb (sorry can’t remember his name) and it was a unique experience and 100% recommend it

Terrible
The room smelled like very cheap cleaning materials and there were spider webs on the ceiling. Do not recommend. And for 750$ a night it all seemed like a one big terrible joke
