The room was reasonably ok.
Reception staff was miserable and neither welcoming nor friendly. Breakfast was a mess - served in the lobby next to the elevator on each floor, a bit of coffee and dry croissants on a first-come first-served basis, and not being replenished regardless of how many pax are on the floor.

Very friendly staff. Drinks were always available. Nice design. Breakfast was fine, but you have to be early. Restaurant downstairs was tasty
Bed was shaking and creaking. Room is rather small. Neighborhood has a lot of homeless people and drug addicts

Its on good location. Near to the p&h cable cart. Though its prime downtown so place is shaddy at times. Wont recommend if you are staying alone. Otherwise it was good. Vintage style hotel.
They said breakfast included which is just a muffin and pastry. When we arrived there was nothing left so that was misguided

Location was great. In the heart of where all the attractions are. Hilly city but walkable and lots of restaurants nearby.very clean hotel.
The free continental breakfast was on floors 3 and 6 and extremely limited and was completely gone on the first morning that the second morning of our stay i had to get up quite early just to get something. Bathrooms are tiny but very clean. Sit on the toilet and had the sink in my face literally. Made it super tight to even stand to pull up pants.Im 5 ft 9 If opening the windows for fresh air at night youll hear lots of noises from either drunk or crazy people swearing and screaming things at all times of the night below. Sleeping was rough although bed very comfortable. It is a neat old hotel and dont regret staying there at all.

The hotel lived up to its appearance by being slightly "old fashioned" but the staff were excellent and the breakfast food was good. My room was large and clean. Large clean bathroom. Close to Union Square a bonus.
