Location and comfortable bed. Cool old fashioned vibe.
Slightly noisey from other rooms. And shared bathroom wasn’t always the cleanest due to high use.

Great location, fantastic for exploring SF. Quirky retro styled hotel with lots of character and perfect for anyone who wants to explore SF. Close to the bay and a nice route that can take you all the way to to the golden gate bridge and also near the main cable car points inc. the Powell Hyde line which goes up the most famous hills in SF. Hotel is friendly, good atmosphere and great value.
Hotel lived up to my expectations and nothing really to complain about.

The room was lovely and faced Taylor Street, which was a nice outlook. The Hotel was quiet, even with it fully booked. My first time in a shared Bath. The showers and toilet rooms were very clean! You could walk across the street for a nice coffee and pastry. You could walk ( a block and a half) to Trader Joe's, The Italian restaurant downstairs had great cocktails, oysters and soup with a friendly staff.
Unfortunately, the sink, although clean was rusted. The portable heater did not work properly, (perhaps a few too many extension cord hookups), appeared dangerous and the towels were thin, crunchy, and no longer white. The cleaning product or air freshener was a bit unpleasant.

Hotel was cool and comfortable. Coffee was broken. Washrooms were dirty by the evening. Very quite. Staff was very sweet and accommodating. The no parking sucked. But it’s SF! Hotel is a 8/10 for what you’d expect an old hotel to be. Can’t really complain

The hotel is expensive for what you got, dirty, the smell is so bad, the staff unfriendly and they doesn't do their job. Requested an invoices since 3 weeks, I still didn't get it. Really bad place to be and waste your time.

Great location. Clean room. Bed was comfortable and we had a great view from our little room. It was surprisingly quiet, but we were on the third floor in the back. People walk around in their PJ's when getting their morning coffee (which was surprisingly delicious). The hotel was extremely affordable and the staff were accommodating, always polite and helpful. 24 hour staffing!! If you like vintage...you will love the San Remo.

Really great and helpful staff. It's very outdated, but I think that adds to the charm. I really recommend for the location and staff.
I was a solo female traveller and felt very safe. Close to a seven eleven and the main fishermans wharf area.

The property is great! I stay here alot. This time I found the showers were not cleaned enough. Some guests should pick up after themselves and not leave things in the showers especially their long hairs all over the sink and shower walls. That was the only turn off for me.
Other than that the property still has the old charm that makes me return every year.
Can't think of anything.
