The location was convenient to a concert and after- party (so a late night). I was only intending to sleep and shower here. In SF, this is a good value. Rooms not facing the street are quieter. My bathroom had been nicely remodeled, and overall, the room was clean and comfortable. There's limited but free parking on- site; huge bonus in this city! I walked to a nearby restaurant, Son & Garden, to treat myself to the most incredible breakfast I can recall having. I'll definitely consider staying at this Rodeway Inn Civic Center again!
The elevator is old and small, so I opted for the stairs to get to the third floor. You'll likely encounter street people in this neighborhood, but none of them spoke to or approached me.

The bed didnt really bother me but my husband woke up with his sciatica killing him. And the elevator was scary. With no lights in the elevator. The air condition wasnt working and it was as 85f

If you want a good location without paying too much, this is the only place in San Francisco that provides that.
After reading the reviews about safety issues outside I was surprised. I wonder what people expect when they stay in the center of a big american city. Yes, you see a couple of homeless people here and there when you go out but this goes for San Francisco in general. Right outside the motel it's calm, you see families and old people walking their dogs at night. We felt completely safe.
My boyfriend got bites all over his thighs. The room appeared clean but the bites ruined our stay here.
I understand the safety issues for the staff, but it feels a bit weird to check in from the parking lot through a shutter.
We arrived around 3 pm and got our free parking space but we were told to not use the car if we wanted to keep the parking space. If you're planning to see San Francisco by foot, I recommend to arrive early and you will get your parking space.
The entrance was hard to find using google maps. Be prepared to drive around for a while.

It was an okay size but very old fashioned and basic. Overhead lighting was very harsh and no lamps. Bedding and linen looked unclean and not fresh. WiFi and telephone didn't work. Door pass constantly failed to eork
Overpriced for the type of room it was. Last few nights neighbours were having parties all night and hotel staff did nothing to stop noise. S&M activities and very dodgy looking characters turning up in the last few nights. WiFi and phone in the room wasn't working. Lift was very old, tiny and scary

We stayed there 9 years ago, it is obvious that the rooms have been renovated and much improved since then.
The WiFi was appallingly slow, it made it very difficult to even view pictures online.

nice room, looks like is freshly renewed, very clean, perfect location, around you can find everything you need.
the bed works for a night but the mattress was not so comfortable, if you need to work online the internet barely works. I had a little discussion with the lady at the counter about the parking spots, cos they don't have enought and if you don't find you must park in the street, but she was right that they had that advertised on the post on booking, in the additional rules, I didn't saw that when I book this place. by luck I find a spot this time, but normally I don't book a place where I can't park.

Location was in San Francisco.
The WiFi didn't work well. The walls were thin and open to outside, the noise was ridiculous all night long. Parking was limited, we got lucky but they only had free parking for a small fraction of the motel. Most people had to find their own parking despite free parking being advertised here.

Elevator did not work and 2 of the people traveling with us(my mom) were disabled and have bad knees. The area was bad we saw a car pull up next to parked car got out busted the window and straight robbed the car of everything inside that was around 6 pm broad daylight. Everyone just went on with the day. Second the tv didn't even work and when we called the guy never came or called us back..
