Rooms are old and pretty pretty basic but I wanted to change from modern hotels to a new experience … the most thing I love about the hotel is the staff they are just amazing and helpful and cheerful
And no ghosts especially in the famous room 410 … sorry ghost hunters

The quirkyness of the hotel and the room was quite comfortable. Also, the extra touch of cookies and sherry at the end of the day is nice.
The coffee from the machine was terrible. We ended up going out for breakfast most mornings due to the awful coffee

Quirky atmosphere with sherry and cookies in the afternoon and a decent breakfast offering in the morning. Our room had a working fireplace that we got a duraflame log per night to use and it made it so very cozy. Staff was kind and courteous. We had an excellent time. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place in SF

I loved that it was old Victorian. Tea, sherry and cookies was nice.
,but it was a bit shabby and the furniture could have been cleaned/repaired.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is always someone in the front to unlock the front door since it remains lock most of the time for security reasons. The breakfast was nice and the breakfast staff was very attentive. The room and hotel overall has a great vintage Victorian decor. The location was very convenient near Japantown and very safe and quiet. Next time we come back to San Franciso, we plan on staying at the Queen Anne Hotel again!
I didn't like hearing about the reported haunting in Room 410, but mjy wife did! LOL!

Really sweet 18th-19th century charm with pretty authentic furniture and artwork. Like a different world. Many sofas to sit on, fireplace. It was cozy and the guests were nice, staff very helpful. The bed was large and comfy, we didn't specifically ask for a baby bed but got that. It was quiet so for relaxation it was right. It was great the hotel was kid-friendly and there were not many things kids could damage. Parking lot was available.
Breakfast was not great - very basic, seemed like a low quality, wished more actual ceramic and less one-use cups around coffee machine, and hot water option in breakfast hall. Some of the artwork seemed quite unprofessional and quickly done pieces of the painting style of 18th-19th centuries.

The hotel is all about the vibe. It’s not Hyatt/Pullmann fancy, but it’s a lot more. Historic building reminded me of old hotels in London. The location is very good, but the personnel - that’s a real jewel. Incredibly friendly and welcoming, supportive and nice.
The breakfast is simple but everything is tasty. I’d say I missed veggies but everything there was good.
Also there’s 24/7 tea and coffee stand with fresh cookies, a spacious lobby with fireplaces and victorian furniture.
In overall, this hotel was a big part of our SF experience.

Lounger area was nice and quirky and oldie worldie. Was nice to have clean towels every day. Nice having tea / coffee in the lounge all day.
No Bottled water in room and improvement of maintenance. Faucet was loose and a lightbulb in bathroom was out.
You have a problem with snail / slugs ,we noticed slug trails on the carpet around where you deposit the dirty plates by double doors in the breakfast area.was

This hotel is so charming! Loved the building and all the interesting details in the architecture and decor. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Felt very secure as you had to be buzzed in to enter the hotel. The area surrounding the property were pretty quiet as well, which is nice when staying in big city.
My only complaint was that the breakfast was meh. Really totally fine for a ‘free’ breakfast but since they call it a ‘bed and breakfast’, I thought it would be a little more elevated.

The setting, furniture, Sherry and biscuits in the afternoon friendly helpful staff.
terrible coffee (we brought our own coffe bags) boring breakfast especially on the 5th day. Having said that, depends what you like. Filled us up and kept us going for the day.
