I was so pleased to find this hotel for my visit to SF! The ambiance, the comfort, the excellent choices for the continental breakfast? Excellent! I have never wanted to read in front of a fireplace at a hotel but I did so many times at the Queen Anne!

Delightful hotel, great amenities in the room and in the shared spaces. The hotel felt very safe, with locked door and 24-hour staff on-site. Loved the decor and staff was very friendly. I especially loved the coffee set-up in the room, with teacups!
The only thing missing in the room was separate conditioner (conditioning shampoo isnt my favorite).

Location was nice and safe. Breakfast was good. Downstairs lobby area and sitting area were decorated for Christmas. Very impressive. Hot coffee all day and night, cookies and Sherry for the evening was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

Stunning Christmas decor was an unexpected treat! Rooms are lovely, the hallways are beautifully decorated with antiques - a most unusual and beautiful property with friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend this hotel if you are going to the Fillmore for a show, as it is a 10 minute walk through what feels like a reasonably safe neighbourhood, lots of great restaurants within 2-3 blocks.
Slight mustiness when we first entered the room - windows open, so we gave it a quick air out and it was not a problem and did not impact our stay.

The Victorian furniture, decor, and architecture. They decorated for Christmas that gave the place an atmosphere of a Charles Dickens novel.
Water pressure in shower was low. Ive was not easily accessible.

very good location in Japantown in SF, unique victorian property, big clean rooms, very good breakfast with fresh waffles, complimentary coffee and tea all day long, cookies and sherry from 4 to 6 pm, room service everyday

Location and hospitality were exceptional. The room was clean and very comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly. Public transportation around the area was accessible.

The hotel is quirky, quaint and the very ornate interior style is in keeping with belle epoque San Francisco. We booked it because it looked interesting and different. The staff were very nice people, welcoming, hardworking and helpful. The room was spacious but a bit tired and in need of an update. The lighting was terrible. However, its easy to see how costly and complex it would be to renovate a property such as this! The hotel provided a breakfast which was appreciated but the hot food was not very appetising, (hard boiled eggs, sausages and burgers). On our first morning we were given the choice of a free taxi to take us down to Fishermans Wharf and in the afternoon at 4 pm sherry and cookies were served. A very nice touch. In spite of its shortcomings we still enjoyed our stay at the Queen Anne.
Our room the lighting was poor. The carpet badly stained. An old fridge in the corner! The iron did not work either!

Charming neighborhood near Japantown. The hotel is kept very well. Its quiet, expertly preserved, and comfortable. This is a great place to stay if youre wanting to live like a local. Its not touristy at all.

The lounge is really amazing, what a gem. It is like staying in a piece of San Francisco's history, indeed it was built as a girls school in 1890.. The staff were really warm and welcoming. The shuttle bus was useful for morning trips. Quiet part of city near main bus routes.
The shower really didn't work well, water squirted in all directions, needs renewing. I found the room oppressive with all the old furnishings but it really was in keeping with the hotel.
