Location is convenient, staff are friendly
Surprise minibar charges after checkout. It wasn't clear that the bottled water on the side table was chargeable. This is complimentary in every hotel I've stayed in around the world. Was also billed for minibar item I didn't consume. Be careful, I would suggest taking photos of all minibar items as proof before checkout. Maybe even insist that staff check the room with you present.

Overall was fine but the refund is vage and till date I didn’t received the money back for the security deposit and I had to call multiple times with no valid answer

Very Good
The location is ideal for first-time visitors and short stays where convenience really matters. It’s easy to get around, close to transport and key spots, and makes city exploring feel effortless. While the rooms were smaller than expected and lacked a safe, the thoughtful finishes and stylish décor more than made up for it. The overall aesthetic felt considered and charming rather than cramped. What really elevated the stay, though, was the front desk staff — genuinely warm, welcoming, and a pleasure to interact with throughout our visit. Overall, a stylish and well-located base with standout service, best suited for those prioritising location and design over space and surroundings.
That said, the room layout around the bed wasn’t especially generous, which made moving around a little tight. The single lift, though beautifully vintage in style, was extremely slow and followed a rather unpredictable up-down journey before arriving at your floor — patience required. And while the hotel itself is lovely, the immediate area outside isn’t one you’d linger in for atmosphere.

The walls were paper thin, the toilet didn’t work, and there was no phone in the room to call the front desk.

We always look for bigger rooms, that have a table or a desk, so we booked the bigger room. The location was central to Union Square. We walked a lot and used the public transport systems (get the Clipper application). The restaurant and bar are great with musicians often playing.
The menu in the restaurant was a little limited for my non seafood eating husband.
