I booked through Booking.com, expecting a hotel, but it turned out that it was a hostel. I reserved a double room with balcony. It was not worth the money. Even though I had posted a "Do not disturb" sign on the door, the cleaning staff opened it and entered. Despite the fact that I had told them we were unavailable, another cleaning service member opened the door and attempted to enter five minutes later. There is no lock on the door, therefore you cannot lock it from the inside. The following day, the same thing happened—this is the first time I've ever been in such a circumstance. I also chose this hotel because it provided parking, but there were only a few spaces, so I had to leave my car in another expensive parking lot twenty minutes away. Breakfast was terrible: cereal, yogurt, milk, and expired fruit. The carpet in the room was peeling, and concrete was exposed in several areas. The front desk was unfriendly. There was no housekeeping service for guests spending less than five nights. Only the hotel's location was good; everything else was horrible.

Very clean, good amenities, friendly staff, great location, convient and free parking. Only downside is that the airconditioner makes a monstrous noise like a helicopter during the night and woke us up in terror, even if it was put to “off” before we went to bed. So we had to unplug it to avoid the sudden noises. Otherwise a great place to stay ! Will definitely come back next time.

One of the only properties in the city with access to free parking. Staff are really great - Trevor especially. Rooms are well maintained and curtains in dorm beds are always a bonus

I prefered the second common room and liked the atmosphere there. Breakfast was simple but delicious and you could add your own staff from the fridge to it. Rooms with balcony and only for 4 persons ... perfect. Every day very clean. The Samesun Hotel/Hostel made my perfect stay in San Fransisco even better.
First evening it smelled very strange in the room and I felt a little upset. The next days no bad smell, it was the matter of fresh air. In my opinion were enough space for the luggage. But I think sombody would maybe prefer a kind of closet.
