Easy access, plenty of parking, and a central location to restaurants. Staff is very friendly and room was very spacious.
The street is a bit noisy but nothing too loud, ear plugs are provided in the room. At times you can hear some footsteps from the top floor.

I booked a 4 night stay for my wife through booking.com, from 7th May Through 11th May. On 10th May when my wife was at the reception of the hostel in San Francisco around 6pm, The reception person snatched the room keys from my wife, and demanded to see the Identification. My wife got scared for her safety, and kept on asking whats wrong to which the reception person replied I am giving you final chance to produce the id. My wife tried to reason with him, asking for more information on whats wrong, at this point crying and scared out of her mind, but got no answer. The receptionist got my wife's luggage out of her room, put all the stuff from her bed in a trash bag, and asked her to leave the property. My wife again asked what is wrong, I have paid for my stay, and told her she is a regular at your hostel since she is a student at California College of the Arts and lives in New Hampshire, every month she stays at the hostel for 4 nights Wednesday through Sunday and this has never happened to her ever. The receptionist at this point told her, she is trespassing, she doesn't have a valid booking and she needs to leave. She had a valid booking, she paid for her stay, produced a physical passport during checkin, and had not violated any rules of the hostel.
Here the receptionist told her he is blacklisting her, he is going to call every single hostel in San Francisco and have them blacklist her.
I am trying to make sense of this situation, what could she possibly have done to deserve this treatment

Good location, clean, friendly staff. No frills, but a nice place to stay if you’re going to be sightseeing most of the time anyway.
Kind of expensive for what it is. Wish the breakfast had something like toast or bagels. It was just cereal, oatmeal and yogurt.
