The location of Samesun hostel is really awsome. Everything near by, I'm person who likes to walk a lot do many of the attractions I reached by walking. Yes, the city is on hills so think carefully.
I can not say that I didn't liked but I will say braekfast. It was only corn flakes, tea (lot of tastes) coffee and fruits. Good but nothing special.

The staff is extremely welcoming, friendly&helpful, the facility/comfort is way above the price paid. Location is fantastic - fairly quiet residential area with convenient transportation to anywhere - 15m by bus to Golden Gate View point, walking distance to fishermen wharf, 30m by bus to Chinatown and Financial District.
As a hostel, you need to draw on your luck with your roommate's behaviors... someone in my room seemed to have carried her entire home to this hostel and spread everything on the floor of the SHARED room, and the smell is unbearable, I suspect she is homeless or semi-homeless. I won't blame the hostel but be careful next time.
