loved the room, bathroom, location!! all really good.
The only "bad" thing was the light at my desk did not work and wouldn't charge my phone either.
there wasn't a lightbulb in the light fixture.
and a strong chemical smell on the first floor landing of the stairwell? it was odd???

The hotel is charming in its vintage deco decor. Our room was large and had 2 nice sitting/reading chairs, a small kitchen with a Illy coffee maker, half fridge, and microwave. The bathroom was ample with very nice tile and fixtures. There was always someone at or near the front desk.
The location was perfect for us. We wanted to be near the Presidio. There are lots of restaurants and shops on Sacramento and California St. We used Waymo and never had to wait more than 4 minutes for it to show up.

There was a strong musty smell in our room. We were allowed to switch rooms and the second one was somewhat better but still triggered an allergic reaction to mold. The staff did work with us, trying to find us a better room, but we still had to find a different hotel after getting almost no sleep there the first night and we left feeling pretty unwell.

Great location, away from all the touristy stuff which is exactly what we wanted. We use live in the neighborhood but now come back to visit family. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, they let us store our bikes inside a locked room which was awesome when we weren’t using them. Parking was so easy, and love the in and out ease u like most hotels. Would definitely stay again when we’re back.
