Location near the marina. Good walkable restaurants.
Looks like they are still upgrading the motel. Room was big but had only a bed, mini-fridge, desk and office chair. No dresser or armoire for clothes. Not even a luggage rack. Two hangars. Could easily fit in a sofa or two comfy chairs and a coffee table. Blackout shades are needed given the window faces a busy and bright Lombard St

Felt secure, free parking, large comfortable bed, fridge in room. Room was what you would expect for what you pay for, pretty basic.
10 min walk from a great coffee/donut place near the Palace of Fine Arts
Being beside the road was fairly noisy, there were a fair number of people coming and going through the night and you could hear all the suitcase noises but that can’t be helped.

It was clean and looked fine. We stayed there for 3 nights. That might be a bit long for this location, so I’d recommend it more as a stopover stay. The staff was very friendly and helped us well by pointing out the highlights and addressing the towel issue (see ‘negative point’). The staff gets a 10!
It was very noisy. We could literally hear the neighbor snoring all night and the woman next door had her TV on volume 80 the entire night. They also ignored the “Do Not Disturb” sign and took all the towels during cleaning, including my personal one that I had left out because of the sign. Unfortunately, those are now gone.
