Value for money for central location was amazing. Room super big, very clean, bed comfy, no breakfast option but coffee and cookies were offered at lobby every morning - nice touch. staff very frindly. historic building with a lot of character
not in tenderloin but super packed with very unpleasant folks all the way around. Maybe it is more about SF than this hotel as I had same experience in a lot of neighborhoods while exploring..

Room & bed are nice & comfortable. Hotel is in good location as well which is very near to union square. All the good restaurants, shopping malls are very close to the hotel.
I think inside room facilities s/b improved such as amenities mostly. I couldn't find one time tooth brush, mini tooth paste, mini lotion, hand wash which are normally provide by the others. These are very important and common for 3 to 4 start hotel. I believe that Kensington will improve those requirements in near future.

Did wonder if Union Square was a good location, we found out that is was. We tend to walk a lot (yes even in San Francisco) and we found that Union Square fitted well into our plans. China Town, The piers for Alcatraz, Ashbury Haight
I knew breakfast was not included so it was not a problem (they have no meal facilities) There really was nothing I did not like.................................................................................................. vvvvvvv

Comfortable beds, clean sheets and towels
Valet attendants shall be called from the parking garage nearby that takes time and not really convenient. Wouldn’t consider it an actual valet parking.

Kind and helpful staff, good sized room and included all that we needed. Beautiful old lobby. Great location, felt fairly safe getting home in the evening.

The staff was very friendly. We were given an informative check-in briefing. We also liked that every morning we could have coffee with cookies. It was great to be able to leave our luggage after check-out, since our flight was in the evening and we could walk around freely.
By the way, the hotel has a vintage vibe inside, and we really enjoyed it.
