Right after I booked this hotel, I messaged the property through Booking.com and explained that I would need an itemized invoice showing the daily room rates and taxes. The hotel replied that they would email it to me after my stay, so I proceeded with the booking. However, after my stay, when I requested the invoice, the hotel refused to provide it, even though Booking.com states that the property is responsible for issuing the accommodation invoice, including when payment is made through Booking.com. This was extremely frustrating, especially because I confirmed this requirement with the hotel before my stay. Since the hotel is located near a convention center, I would expect them to be familiar with guests needing itemized invoices for reimbursement purposes.

Location, location, location. Liked the drink machine too
It wasnt exactly spacious, and a bit old, but was completely understandable for the price and location. The shower space wasnt perfectly clean to my shandard but wasnt dirty or anything. And the fan was so awkwardly low it felt as if it was right in my face while lying on bed

the Staff. The receptionist was SO ..Friendly , nice and polite as If he Knows What he's doing and done his JOB Perfectly and Professionally!! I just LOVE His behaviour and Attitude! Applaused to the chinese (Hong Kong) Front desk Staff !!
Unfortunately, the room was NOT as Same as shown in the Photo/ Pic. !! This Hotel is actually quite Old and Obsolete, like elder than my GrandFather!! The curtain and Walls starts to crack and you can smell the smell of Obsolete and mold and Dust! Even many of their furniture and Cabinet i discovered it gotten (bought) in the 90's and you just Couldn't Find it now anymore in this 20's!!! I guess that's WHAT Make this Hotel Unique was - ALL the 90's Furniture that Can't be Find in this 20's!!!!!

Room nice clean. Bed and pillows comfy. Great location. Priced ok. Fast check in and out. Great towels. Friendly helpful staff.
Room size is a bit on the small side as is the bathroom and tube/shower. Only the room serviced every 3rd day.

The location is amazing, close to startup scene in SF, though one has to be careful on the streets nearby. They offer free coffee in the morning and sherry in the evening.
The staff was rigid on checkout time though I stayed 5 nights. The pricing was on the expensive side.

The hotel has a great deal of character which reflects it's age and history. Situated very close to Union Square and a short walk from the tram terminus, and Dart station, we found it easy to travel around the city.the free water station in the lobby was a great help.
Some of the facilities reflected the age of the hotel e.g. the noisy plumbing in the bathroom. The road outside is busy and noisy, as was the restaurant next door which played loud music until about 3:00am one evening. Doors were heavy and were noisy when closing and the walls were quite thin so we could hear families in the next room. Despite being told the room would not be cleaned unless we asked, we were disturbed twice by staff knocking on the door for housekeeping.

Location was great, walkable to so much including a cable car stop and union square. Staff was very friendly. Coffee in the morning was good. The building was beautiful
I was in two different rooms during my stay. the first was spacious but smelled a bit like moth balls. The second smelled ok but the bathroom was a bit out of date. Both were fine though! The building was just a bit shoddy.

Great location close to Union Square, within walking distance of the metro system/BART. The room was decently sized, the bed was comfy, and the view was also pretty good. Free coffee/hot cocoa every morning in the lobby was a nice bonus.

It was clean. Great location.
The elevators were terrible. Never thought I’d include elevators in a review. They were slow. Stopped randomly at floors not selected…both going up/down. Every guest I encountered was frustrated. I asked for one extra hour for check out. My son swam Alcatraz/Golden Gate. Didn’t want to fly home soaked in salt bay water. No. They threatened a $100 charge. For ONE hour to shower. We barely made it back to collect our things prior to 12. They would not budge. We weren’t asking for anything frivolous. People that do this swim do it annually. Not only will we not stay here again. We won’t recommend it. 100 swimmers (plus families) annually from our club.
