I stayed here for work and was really happy with my stay. The room was very affordable but still had a proper bathroom with a bathtub, a good really good gym and excellent house keeping services every day.
The staff were really friendly and let me have an early check in when I arrived sleep deprived from flight from Australia. The hotel is also right next to a really good Trader Joes store.

Location was great. Easy access to transportation so we could get anywhere in the city.

Location was good. Easy to get around. Room was comfy. Staff was friendly.
The breakfast place had a lot of fruit flies. The complimentary continental breakfast was a plate of pastries and fruit valued at $20 but was not able to sub other items more substantial but less cost value

Unfortunately many of the retail stores have closed, and there is now more homeless people in that area

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I love that it was pet friendly and if ur fur babies are good they can be left in the room alone. The front staff was great. Jeff was amazing. Price is high but it’s SF downtown.
Nothing really we stayed one night last minute so everything is as is just minus the dog beds.

It was clean, the double room was very spacious.
We prepaid the room with breakfast two days prior to arriving. I knew they had a beautiful restaurant and great food. When we arrived, they gave us vouchers to order coffee and toast to our rooms because the restaurant was under renovation. If I had booked it weeks or months in advance, I understand they could have not known. However, 2 days prior, they should have not ket us pay for full breakfast in advance. That does not reflect on the staff but in the listing and in Booking itself. I’m sad to leave a calcification of 7 only instead of higher but that’s a big oversight. The listing should have warned us about no having restaurant on site able to feed us breakfast.

Disappointing
The hotel is clean even though it's quite small. The rooms a nice and spacious.
We were charged a deposit on our card which was as much as the stay! There is no mention of this at the time of booking. Also I have been charged $123 on my card which has still not been reversed even after 1 month of staying at the hotel.
The area outside the hotel is extremely unsafe. My friends and I were walking at 9:30pm and it was really scary with a lot of drugged and homeless people around.

Pretty building, nice room, nice staff
Windows are filthy. Water is not hot enough for a comfortable shower. Scraped knuckles to open fridge. Breakfast was meh, and oatmeal was not covered by the ten dollar voucher. For an above average cost, average. Also if a guest wants to stay an extra night you should try to accommodate them.

I had a conference at the Marriott Hotel which was located right across from the Zelos. The location was very convenient. Also, there were many good restaurants closed to the hotel. The staff were kind and generous, greeting us every day.
The food items from the hotel were a bit pricey. Also, we did not know that we will get $10 coupon if we do not request to clean the room per day. I wish the staff could have explained it to us when we checked in.
