Well located hotel right by the center of Japantown, very nice staff, comfortable bed (although a bit small for 2 people) and breakfast was good - not amazing but it’s definitely a good value for money in SF! :)
Room was a bit small and we could hear people walking above us. Hotel also misses a bit of air entering inside, it’s a little humid.

24/7 coffee and access to dining room was nice. Breakfast was okay. Decor is cute and Victorian. It’s an older hotel but elegant and functioning good.
Some things needed updating (door knobs, faucets) and the water pressure was strange a few days.

Stayed for a night with my adult daughter. The room was spacious, with comfortable twin beds. The style and decor were nicely done in Victorian style. The hallway carpeting was new and clean.
Our room overlooked Sutter Street, and the traffic noise was quite noticeable and did disrupt our sleep a bit. Unfortunately, the complimentary breakfast fell far short of expectations for a hotel of this caliber. The scrambled eggs—clearly powdered and reconstituted—were so clumpy I couldn’t even spoon them onto my plate. I gave up. My daughter managed a small taste before discarding hers as well. The waffle maker functioned, but the batter had an unmistakably artificial flavor. Against my better judgment, I tried a blueberry muffin next. One bite was enough—I tossed it, reluctantly, as I hate wasting food. The only redeeming items were the fresh fruit: sliced oranges and mandarins, which were genuinely enjoyable. Honestly, the hotel would be better off skipping the complimentary breakfast altogether than offering something so subpar.

Nice and cosy hotel. The room was large, the interior comfortable. It was quiet enough to sleep well. Great for spending the night and sleeping.
The breakfast was rather low level. The food was clearly made for quantity rather than quality. Everyday we got toast, the same butter and jam from little packages. And the coffee was horrible, it can't compete with normal European standards or cafes in the US. The only thing I enjoyed where the waffle machine and the scrambled eggs.
