It was very clean, staff was super friendly. I didn’t like how I tried to cancel one room 5 days before arrival because they have a 5 day cancel period, but still paid for 2 rooms. Extremely tiny rooms btw, like 1’ walking space between bed and walls. There was also NO HOT WATER in the shower, didn’t matter how long we kept trying, it was ice cold. To top it all off, we were woken up with jack hammers around 6:30AM on a Sunday. I spent 6 hours of my stay at the hotel, and I just absolutely wasn’t a fan. But staff were the best and so sweet and kind. Just everything else was the worst.

The room is cozy, and the bed is comfortable. It is so clean, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating, you would feel that you are at home.

- slightly quirky but charming historic property
- comfortable room (except for loud A/C)
- central location, bus lines within a few blocks
- 10 minute walk to Polk Street bars and restaurants
- Nice bar
- Window insert air conditioner was extremely loud, but room was stuffy if it was left off. This made sleeping difficult.
- Limited food and drink options in the immediate vicinity
