Wonderful
Hotel Majestic is charmingly decorated, has a very nice and helpful staff, provides a continental breakfast (something I never thought I'd see in San Francisco proper) and is conveniently located. It was no problem getting to Japan Town, Piers 41 and 39, the Caltrain station, and downtown shops using the nearby bus options.

Very convenient and comfortable! Spacious room and the vibe was super fun. Very close to Japan Town and great food.
There was not central HVAC, so temperature had to be maintained with windows., space heaters, and AC. Breakfast was sort of mediocre.

This is a very European style hotel, in a good, safe location in Lower Pacific Heights. Unique with lots of charm, in an old Victorian building with Victorian decor. It was very reasonably priced and included an expanded continental breakfast. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
The mattress was extremely hard and very uncomfortable.

The location is great -- really easy to get around by bus (the #49 up and down Van Ness and to the Mission District was super-handy) and foot and BART. The building is beautiful, really graceful. I guess I would describe it as somewhat faded grandeur, but grandeur nonetheless. The bathroom has lots of counter space, which I appreciate.
The gym was closed because of some extensive repair work being done in the lower level. This wasn't too big a deal but we were turned off that they put an outdated note about it (saying the work would be finished a week prior) on the front door. So guests are greeted with negative and outdated news on a paper taped to the door, before they even reach the desk. Also the breakfast is about the same as what you'd get at a Hampton Inn off a highway. Would be nice to make it a little more special in such a beautiful setting.

No parking facilities but we parked in Japan town shopping center for 30$ a for the night in a 10 min walk

The hotel was beautiful and the room was as expected.
The only concerning part of the stay was that the floor in the room was considerably slanted. We were to visibly see the slant, and you could feel it if you walked across the room. When we put a soda can on the floor, it rolled toward the door very quickly. When I forcefully rolled the can back the other direction (up the slant), it stopped midway across the room and again rolled quickly toward the door. It didn't seem immediately dangerous, just more so odd and concerning.

Liked the classical feel. The Victorian feel of the hotel.
I would rather pay a little more and get a better breakfast. 2 pieces of bacon would make a big difference. Old hotels so not good sound insulation, floors are creaky but its part of the charm of an old hotel.

The hotel was clean, quiet. Staff was pleasant and ever ready to help. It was very close to the places we wanted to visit.
Took a long walk to Golden Gate Park, beautiful park. Loved it.
There is this smell that hits you once you enter the building, maybe because the building is old.

Loved the vintage vibes and the staff were so helpful, nice and easygoing!
The room had lots of dust and webs around doorframes and the plumbing was kinda wack with the sinks, toilet and shower. The worst thing was having to park a ten minute walk away while holding luggage. The garage that was originally suggested was closed that day or might’ve even been the lot down the street from the hotel, but everyone knows better than to leave your car unattended for an entire day and night in an open SF parking lot.
