the location is great, you can walk around a very nice neighbourhood. The room was clean and the bathroom had an interesting concept, sauna-like. You do have coffee and tea included all day.
I would say overall is a bit overrated, it's very expensive and you have almost nothing included. You even have to tip for an included breakfast (maybe I'm not familiar with the policy there). And the breakfast didn't have many options to begin with.

I loved the atmosphere in the lobby. Had to hang out to study and very conducive to that. Loved the cappuccino maker. Loved how close the hotel is to great food and within walking distance of several great parks. Short drive to Golden Gate Park.
All the staff was very helpful and nice, including front desk, housekeeping and breakfast staff. Reed, the bartender, was GREAT and our favorite!
Parking wasn’t ideal but rarely is in San Francisco. Used the underground garage instead of valet. Glad parking was as close as that.

Hotel is in a great location. Staff were super helpful and the hotel modern, quirky and interesting. Japanese themed throughout. Room was really large and clean with a huge bed and lounge area. Great breakfast too !

Very nice hotel and exceptionally friendly and attentive staff
‘Balcony and City view’ is technically correct description but stretching the definition

Wonderful
The staff were outstanding and totally concerned with my comfort, going out of their way to make me feel welcome.
it does feel like a converted office building. the carpeting doesn’t really hide the hard flooring underneath so it lowers the luxe feel.

Parking is good and it was close to restaurants and shopping

Amazing location for accessing Japantown. Easy to get downtown, Marina, Golden Gate Park by bus or car. Nice interior design touches. Outdoor seating, small fitness area. Adding breakfast to stay was a good way to get up and going. Staff were so helpful and attentive.
The area is busy so look elsewhere is you want solace. Breakfast alone is $32 so would only do as part of booking. Otherwise find a great bkfast spot. It's a bit pricey but location and extras make it worth it.

The morning breakfast staff was amazing! I think some of the most caring and helpful service I have ever had. They always were so friendly and helpful. Truly delightful and I hope they get the pay and praise they deserve. Your valet staff was also awesome!! Loved the Japantown location too.
Queen sizes beds would be nicer than full size.

The breakfast buffet was great and staff was very friendly. As vegans, it was nice to see food clearly labelled as vegan. Coffee, tea and hot water is easily accessible near the lounge dining area. Room was very spacious and quiet. Loved staying in Japantown where it was more quiet and chilled vibe. You’re also inbetween Golden Gate area and Union Square. Bottled water is available on demand from front desk.
Tea tasted weird when using the tea-making machine in the room. Bed mattress wasn’t that comfortable. One guy who works at front desk who never smiles.

Fun, whimsical hotel in Japantown.
Liked the vibe of the lobby and bar.
Great buffet breakfast, and loved the coffee/tea available at all times.
Rooms (and bathrooms especially) are a little small.
Some of the front desk staff were SO nice and helpful (Domingo), but others were very standoffish and almost rude (not welcoming).
