Disappointing
The housekeeper started to knock our door since 9:55 AM and kept coming back asking when we would be checking out even though the check out time is 11 AM. I don’t understand why we were being so rushed to leave the room!
Brought it up to the front desk agent and they didn’t rectify the situation.

The room was delightful and the room staff were genuinely friendly.
The hotel is near the Tenderloin.

Location and room size
The front desk lady that checked me in. She was very rude and had an attitude. She was Latin but I couldn't catch her name to formally complain. Ok the opposite when I checked out there was another person and he was super nice.
The second thing I didn't like was the breakfast staff. They were again super rude. They give you a voucher that is for 2 people. The restaurant is a la carte and you can order one dish per person. I paid for a double room hence I had 2 dishes but they didn't allow me to order more than one. On top of that the waiter brought me the check without me asking I was still eating. Which I find very rude. He had the nerve to ask for a tip which of course I didn't give. Overall this hotel is very far from Marriot standards.

Good hotel, great staff, comfy rooms, located near the Union Square,
The area does not feel very safe.
There are no coffee machines in the room.
And their pricing methods are not customer-friendly.

Staff were great and the hotel centrally location for the city’s sights and transport.
Nice benefits we received on checking in, glass of champagne, complimentary tickets for ride on tram car and $15 credit.
Lovely breakfast.
Noisy bar next door but this quietened down by 10ish.
In the evening, stick to walking back via main road or take a taxi if coming back late.
