Had a great experience when we arrived. But for some reason, booking.com mixed up my middle name and made it my first name which made it hard to find my reservation initially. Luckily the front desk was amazing and knew that it was switched and found it.
We were also asked if we wanted champagne, which was a great touch. We had a light snack in the dining room although I forgot to use my credit, everyone enjoyed the appetizers and drinks.
The room was comfortable and pretty spacious for SF. I would have liked a regular fridge to store water and drinks instead of the minibar fridge; we didn't really use it.
It's a really cool area with lots of restaurants and bars around. All within walking distance of our hotel and lots of entertainment as well. I would definitely book again with the service we experienced. Everyone was wonderful to us and that made our experience more enjoyable.

The bathroom wasn't as spacious but it served our needs. I also asked for extra towels and robes to be out in the room. No robes, and we had to ask again for the towels since there were three of us, but it was an easy fix.

The beds are very comfortable as in all Marriott hotels. The rooms are clean.
The hotel is in San Francisco downtown and there are a lot of homeless people everywhere. This is more of the probe of the city as a whole. The staff wasn’t welcoming and even though the breakfast was included, it was à la carte and they still expect tips and charge extra. So expect to spend additional money on breakfast even if it’s included in your stay. Mini bar is extremely expensive and there is no water dispenser. They also have this shady $15 credit per night that actually can’t be applied for the breakfast tips of mini bar. They charge for everything whenever they can. The valet parking is outrageous $85 per night!

From the moment we arrived, the service at Hotel Adagio was beyond exceptional. The bellman, Tuan, set the tone with his attentiveness, genuine kindness, and willingness to help us with literally anything we needed. At the front desk, Chris was incredibly accommodating — professional, patient, and truly went above and beyond to make our stay seamless.
We even had the pleasure of briefly meeting General Manager David, who was calm, kind, and sincerely invested in making sure our family had the best possible experience — and it genuinely showed.
At the restaurant, Nataly and Gloria were such a joy — not only incredibly sweet, but especially kind and patient with our toddler, which made breakfast feel relaxed and special instead of stressful (every parent knows what I mean ?).
And even the valet, Enrique, took the time to give us personal recommendations around the city and made sure we felt safe and taken care of at all times.
It is rare nowadays to feel this level of hospitality from every single person you interact with — but Hotel Adagio delivered exactly that. Our stay was memorable, effortless, and sincerely one of the best hotel service experiences we’ve had. We’ll absolutely be coming back.
It was perfect. Can't think of anything I didn't like. I felt like I was in a different country with the personnel attentiveness and level of service, something hard to find in the US these days.

Location nice, close to Union sq, and totally safe. Free coffee all the time in the lobby, We got free Cable car tickets, free drink every day, and bonus fee to use it at the restaurant. So, it it worth the money we paid.
Breakfast could have been better. Not that is not good, but somehow I expected more offers, instead of getting one coffee, one glass of juice, and mostly tacos and burrito from the meni early in the morning.

I think booking.com should highlight the fact that Parking was not free. I thought parking was quite expensive.
