The hotel is in a historic downtown landmark building.
The proximity to Union Square and Market street is comfortably close.
Good breakfast; all choices included when booking the breakfast in advance.
The receptionist first tried to put us in one of the worst rooms of the hotel because of being accompanied by two service dogs. Only after massive complaints we were able to change.
Overall the hotel looks quite worn out.
The location is at the very edge of an area with a big amount of homeless and crack people - not dangerous but should be aware.

the free breakfast and glass of champagne and clean rooms were the best.
neighborhood is a bit gritty so be careful when walking around at night. (dog owners don’t clean up after their pets apparently)

During our stay, we used the following perks they offered us:
One glass of sparkling wine each day after 2pm
A daily $15 credit per room, which we could use at the restaurant or bar
A one-time cable car ticket
The building is old, but they’ve updated it with a modern boutique hotel vibe.
The room has dark colors and small windows, so it feels a bit gloomy overall.

The property was wonderful. The management team instilled a level of professionalism that is not seen today. I would highly recommend a visit to the Adagio. You won’t be disappointed.

The breakfast was good, variety of options to choose from. There were complimentary tickets for an old tram to go to piers, and a glass of champaign. The biggest advantage was a coffee machine in the lobby to offer coffee all day long.
In regard to breakfast, it would be advisable that the client do not ask for small additions like butter and jam but they are available at the service desk to pick up if you want to. It is only at the end of the stay we found that they were actually available if you ask from the service.
