Really well located in one of the safest areas. Can walk to the cable car turnarounds, Fisherman's Wharf, the Alcatraz ferry, etc.
Also virtually opposite the rental car companies if you want to pick up a car to leave SF as we did.
If you've stayed at other IHG / Hilton / Marriotts, then you know what you're getting. Happy hour was a nice bonus.
The onsite restaurant looked a bit overpriced, but I understand it is independent of the hotel.

Good location but not really worth the price, I would save the money and look at other options closer. The bay view rooms are not what they seem, yes you can see some of the bay but you are also looking out directly into a car park in front of you and a multi storey carpark to the left.
Paid for breakfast and was told breakfast would be starting from 8am so we booked an early excursion to see Alcatraz giving us enough time to have breakfast then get to the pier in time for the excursion but when we went down for breakfast we was then told they wasn't opening until 9am because the chef hasn't turned up. So paid for breakfast and didn't get breakfast

We had an amazing stay and the best part was the people who work at Kimpton from the front desk to the valet, all amazing people with a great attitude and excellent customer service. i loved the ahppy hour and they have drinks for the kids too. we lvoed ours tay and will be back!

Location was a good one for our plans to visit San Francisco attractions.
Breakfast model with voucher. If I would book again, I wouldn't choose breakfast and take it around the hotel.

Very comfortable bed, nice location, quiet room located on top floor, friendly and helpful staff.
The shower stall, though very nice looking, provided no grab bar, extra shelf for toiletries, nor a raised area to rest one’s foot when shaving their legs.
