I booked 2 rooms for my husband and I second room for my daughter and family it was across the hall better for privacy . I would not to have it across the hall better then side by side
I couldn’t open then window in our room. So I understood the no view but why couldn’t I open the window a bit

All of the above! When I needed service (e.g., fixing a light bulb, taking my luggage downstairs) response was quick and helpful.
Dinner my first night was disappointing. I ordered roast chicken and what came was a roasted Caron- big and tough - instead of a flavorful roasting chicken. Aso, the breakfast buffet the next morning was underwhelming.

Luxury in the heart of San Francisco! The rooms were well appointed, and we were upgraded to the 14th floor bay view. Incredible views of the city, waterfront, Bay Bridge, Coit Tower, Alcatraz & Marin. Very comfortable beds. It was a beautiful, sunny Sept day, and in the evening, we watched the iconic fog roll in from the ocean from the sweeping view of our room.
$30 Cheeseburgers in the main restaurant. Drinks were pricey but unique and delicious.

Location, location, location! Really such an awesome neighborhood and walking distance from much of what we wanted to do. Service was excellent as one would expect from a hotel in this price point - we were celebrating my daughters 16th birthday and they had a cute custom slice of cake and chilled Martinelli's waiting for us in the room when we arrived. Lovely touch!
It's expensive, for sure, and probably you can get more for your money in terms of room size, etc. at a less iconic spot. But it really is a lovely place to stay and I'm glad we splurged.
