The area is perfect. Close to transportation, in the heart of Union Square, and lots of shopping and restaurants. Chinatown is nearby as well. The room was more spacious than I thought it would be compared to reading previous reviews. The walls are paper thin, in which you can hear the person next door. However, no one was really obnoxious and loud during my stay. Price was excellent

Loved the large storage space and view over Union Square. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the pillow choice was a very fun touch.
Could have been a little cleaner. There were a couple of hairs on the bathroom floor when I first walked in and some grit in the chest of drawers.

Location was brilliant. The hotel is central and the cable car stops two mins from door.
Staff at the hotel were very helpful. I liked the options of ordering your own pillow type.
Bed super soft no support. Moved rooms and bed was slightly better but still really soft.

Great location, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Cookies offered all day long, popcorn, drinks, and the only hotel I've ever stayed at with a filtered water dispenser in the lobby. I was able to fill my bottle everyday for free. Umbrellas in every room for use during your stay. Large closet. Just great.
The rooms are a bit tight but it was enough room for us while we were there.

Room was clean. Bellman was top notch ❤️. He set up our luggage perfectly and hung garment bags in the closet.
Toilet was very low and cramped. Maybe a toilet that was taller would be better. Water leak under the safe in the walk in closet.

Fabulous location. Walking distance to Union Square and the shopping district. Quick check in and check out. Room was cleaned daily. Comfortable bed.
During peak hours wait for lift can be long. Limited facilities.

The unbeatable location and the incredibly warm atmosphere.
The hotel’s location is excellent and felt very safe. It's easy to reach from the airport (just a short walk from the Powell BART Station). The convenience is unparalleled—Union Square is steps away, and every major bus line is within easy walking distance. Plus, the surrounding neighborhood is fantastic; we had immediate access to Walgreens, Trader Joe's, Target, Macy’s, and even the second Nintendo store in the US!
On top of that, the lobby felt like coming home. The welcoming touches like the free homemade cookies, popcorns, fresh apples, infused water, microwave, and the high-end coffee machine truly created a warm, community feel, rather than a cold, standard hotel environment.
The hotel emphasizes protecting the planet by not providing single-use amenities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers, which I absolutely support. However, guests should be sure to pack these items themselves, as they are not available in the room. This is a very minor detail in an otherwise perfect stay.

Absolutely the staff! I stayed for 11 nights, and every single employee I met, every day, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuine. By the end, their kindness made me feel like I was staying among old friends. That was the highlight of my trip!
