Location was excellent. Room was comfortable and quiet. Bearing in mind San Francisco prices I feel the hotel was good value for money especially with the location. Main doors locked after 5pm and key access to lifts made it feel secure.
Corridors had low level lighting and felt dark and dated. Room needed a bed side lamp in addition to the main room lights. Receptionist at check in did not discuss pricing and extra costs - ok we prebooked with booking.com but some kind of confirmation would have been nice

The hotel is generally nice; it is clean and well-located. The staff is very friendly, with the exception of one impatient person—simply because I don't speak English fluently.
I just have two comments. First, the mattresses need to be changed, as the current ones feel a bit old and sag too much. Second, there was one staff member in the lobby (or customer service area) who was a bit—I’m not sure if I should say rude—let’s say impatient. I felt rushed when I couldn’t respond quickly, since I don’t speak English fluently. It was like, “Give me a moment; I’m trying to speak English, it’s not my first language!” Beyond that, everyone else was very kind. The hotel and the room were very clean, the location was perfect, and everything was lovely. I just have those two comments: one impatient staff member and changing the mattresses because they feel a bit old and sink in too much.

Really great, quiet, clean, modern place right at Powell Street station. Having lived here many years ago, I was a little concerned about the location, but it was perfect for what I needed!
Arrived a bit early, and early checkin price was $75 which is ridiculous especially if the room is just sitting there. So I left my luggage and went about my business. Very simple for a hotel to just let someone access the room ahead of time rather than gouging them.

The noise from the guest above my room and the window was slightly open bring in a gust of wind and there was no way to close it
