Exquisite furnishings, comfortable bed, superb breakfast, and a wonderful host!! A scale of 12 out of 10!! I wish we had stayed more than one night.
Parking was a little tight, but the host helped us do it safely. This one might seem silly, but my feet were cold just wearing socks on bare floors. I would’ve liked a suggestion beforehand to bring some soft-soled slippers or extra socks, since we couldn’t wear shoes. (I didn’t make a connection about that.)

Everything!!! The location! The view! The quality of care given to each guest! If you’re even thinking about staying here, just do it! Amazing experience! And a huge thank you to T.J. for the care he takes to ensure every guest has the best stay possible.
The only imperfect part of our trip was the hot weather. The Patrician Hollywood Universal is an amazing place to stay. Still can’t believe it turned out to be everything we hoped for and more!

In all my years of traveling, I have never met such a good host as TJ. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left he was always the most considerate and helpful host you could wish for. He made the whole stay hassle free by anticipating all our needs, recommending how to reach places and went above and beyond by even treating us to home made cocktails and waiting for us with food after the event we attended.
On top of that he has great stories to share and is simple a great person to be around.
Wish we had stayed longer.

The breakfast was very nice. Everything was fresh and delicious. The croissants were baked perfectly. They were extra special with a little chocolate in the middle. Everything was nicely presented.
Nothing could have been better. In fact the stay was more than expected with the host, T.J., treating us to some awesome cocktails.
We only wish there had not been fog in the morning so we could have sat out enjoying the yard a little more.

More like staying at a friend’s house. Beautiful views,tasteful decor. Unsurpassed continental breakfast. TJ, the host, is charming and helpful. However if you must have a tv, or can’t handle any stairs, it may not be for you.

It is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The house itself is lovely with stunning view of LA. The host, TJ, is very friendly and made us feeling like at home, a lot of interesting talks, details are well-taken care. We would like to come back when we next time visit Pasadena.

The location was gorgeous and everything went smoothly and as advertised. Communication prior was great, and I felt like I had my privacy but also an attentive host.

Felt at home. Breakfast was excellent. Host was very personable and informative. Quiet area....very peaceful. And of course THE BEST Lemon drops! We would definitely stay here again. Absolutely loved it.

We shared a jack and Jill bathroom with others staying in the room next door.... and you can hear everything that goes on in the bathroom. But honestly ....every other positive outweigh this small negative. Totally loved staying here.

We liked everything on this stay. The property has a beautiful view and a cute spot to relax and drink. The house is super clean and professionally decorated. We felt the vibe of the 20th in every corner of the house. The host is just amazing! We had our delicious breakfast with other guests in the kitchen in the morning, which was part of the enjoyment. I highly recommend this place to get a different from the big hotels/resorts experience.

The Patrician was the highlight of our three week trip. Great location, views, comfort, breakfast. Everything was excellent. But best of all was the owner, TJ. He made our visit memorable. Great Stories. Great service. I highly recommend considering this place when you visit Pasadena.

Amazing location!! The view of LA and the beautiful landscaping and historic house are really special. TJ is a very friendly host full of stories that he’s ready to share and is also a great listener. He also has good suggestions for things to do if you are new to LA. The Zen Garden room was very cozy, comfortable and unique. The bathroom was absolutely spotless with a lovely pine tree view while showering.

TJ is an amazing host -- friendly, solicitous, respectful and a great conversationalist who doesn't impose on you. The location has beautiful views, high over the LA basin yet a fast and easy drive down to all the attractions of Pasadena. The house is both beautiful and interesting.

The Guest House at the top of the mountain is exceptional. Spectacular views across the LA basin; great sunrises and sunsets. The rooms and linens are very nice and our whole experience was top notch. We came in for the Rose Bowl. The Patrician wasn’t just a nice place to visit for a few days. Our hosts were able to help us navigate around LA to the great sites and gave us special treatment for the Parade and parking for the Rose Bowl. We had a wonderful time mingling with our hosts and the other guest who spent the weekend with us. TJ and Jorie (the owners) were present and engaged in just the right way throughout the stay…
