The location was perfect for us.
The building itself was stunning, beautiful old hollywood.
It was noisy on the street at night so for some that may have been challenging but for us it was no problem!
The beauty of the building and its location more than made up for it.

The concierge was super helpful, professional and pleasant.
The guest services rep with the tattoo on her forehead lacked people skills. She's in the wrong industry. Aloof, didn't smile and oddly behaved.

Old and small room with very little light. Adequate Water temperature for shower was difficult to reach. The location was excellent, the pool, gym facilities were nice and everything on the property was clean.
Parking was tricky. I did appreciate the valet option but it is an additional cost. This can certainly add up if you’re staying multiple days.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, and the valet and door staff were courteous, welcoming, and a pleasure to deal with.
This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
I have stayed here before, and while it was far from perfect (I was previously given a dirty room), at least the staff were polite. Unfortunately, this visit showed a serious decline in both standards and service.
Despite advertising complimentary tea and coffee, staff tried to charge me $9 for a single tea bag and forced me to argue with them every single day just to access what was supposedly included, even after paying a $37 daily resort fee + tax per night. The hotel’s own written policies and terms and conditions were simply ignored.
Instead of acknowledging their mistake, staff consistently treated me like I was the problem. I was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome for expecting the hotel to honor what they promised in writing.
The pool staff were equally unprofessional and repeatedly shouted at us for having drinks from our own room. The hotel claims “no outside food or drinks,” yet somehow considers their own in-room beverages as “outside.” This makes no sense and was enforced in a rude and aggressive manner.
To make matters worse, the lift was not working for a significant portion of our stay, causing major disruption. When these issues were brought to management’s attention, no resolution, apology, or compensation was offered.
This place now operates purely as a cash grab, with no concern for guest experience. After spending nearly $2,000, I shouldn’t have to fight for basic amenities while dealing with broken facilities and dismissive staff.
I rarely write reviews, which shows just how bad this experience was.
For a so-called 4-star hotel, this level of service is embarrassing. Dirty rooms in the past, hostile staff now, misleading policies, constant nickel-and-diming, and zero accountability, this is not luxury, it’s exploitation.
I regret giving this hotel a second chance. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

It's a good place to stay if you need to be in Hollywood
Most of the staff is friendly but several of the reception staff are quite rude (not all of them).
The bartenders, valets and housekeeping are all nice but front desk is rarely friendly.
After checkout, I experienced a security issue with another guest that was on drugs and threatening myself and others. No staff intervened, they seemed to actively support the guy instead of protecting the other guests. After reporting this to the hotel several times, over both phone, email and via Booking, they have never replied nor followed up (also not to Booking). They appear to just be ignoring the emails completely.

Location was really good for our short stay
The day we arrived on Saturday 31st January, it was extremely disappointing to find that we had no access to the lobby floor due to a private event. We were forced to walk around the outside of the hotel to get from the Reception to the Lobby exit.
Also, there were continual long waits for the only working elevator
I have stayed here many years ago, and I was returning with another family member for a couple of nights, but the experience we encountered did not give a very good impression unfortunately
