A fabulously helpful front desk supervisor named Rae, a good breakfast and a pretty good location for the theater district were the pluses.
The room chair, breakfast area chairs and, worse still, the toilet were all way too short for the average American, hard to sit down on and, especially if one is a senior, harder to stand up from. I suspect the owners got a deal on a warehouse full of seating made for domestic sale and use in an East Asian country where the average person is shorter. It's hard to comprehend why facilities management thought it was a good idea to save a few bucks and inflict all that discomfort on guests in Los Angeles, USA.

Walking distance to Hollywood's highlights. Great valet parking. Coffee on tap 24/7. Nice rooms, modern and clean. Friendly staff.
Its about 10-15 min walk from the main strip.
