The location was excellent right across from the big Mormon temple, with easy parking in their lot $, but they didn't charge our visitors to use it. Lovely courtyard that almost made us forget we were in busy Santa Monica Blvd.
The rooms are small but nicely updated from the old motel configurations. It really needs a bigger water feature in the courtyard for cooling and to mask street noise but it's nicely landscape and maintained. And it has a nice firepit at night.

The rooms were truly brand new, and the location was quite good—you are relatively close to everything by car by LA standards. The breakfast, although not a buffet, was delicious and had about 7-8 set options. However, I am pointing out that it wasn't a buffet and the choices were very specific because, unfortunately, I hadn't seen that mentioned in many reviews.
The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, but there was an extremely strong smell, like dampness.

We absolutely loved our stay at the hotel. Everything was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The room was cozy, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of great options. We truly enjoyed our experience and would happily stay here again on our next visit. It was a wonderful stay overall!
The only minor points were the noise from the entrance gate on the side of our room, and the additional parking fee, which makes the stay a little more expensive.

It was very clean, and the staff were very nice. The toilet and shower were together, but the vanity was separate.
Parking wasn’t free (33 US$/night ), and the room with two queen beds only had one chair.
