We stay here always when traveling to SF. Yes, you need a car to get around but parking is free. Hotel is very quiet, clean and has good breakfast. They also operate an airport shuttle.
It is older property so it could use some little upgrades in the rooms but that doesnt bother us. We still like to stay here.

Privately owned hotel with lovely decor. Great location, pleasant outdoor patio area overlooking the bay. Very clean hotel & accommodation. Good hot buffet breakfast. Staff worked hard ensuring tables were kept clean and food trays refilled. Coffee & hot water 24/7 was excellent.
The dining area is quite small. Tables are quite close together, so manoeuvring around the table and chairs to get to the food & hot drinks can be a problem. Nice to see that guests were patient and understanding.
