Excellent hotel location in the heart of Windsor. Ideal hotel for Ascot stays. Friendly reception staff.
Parking in the hotel car park is a chore. First gentleman to greet us was super friendly however second gentleman was a little frosty when we returned to car park and made us wait before allowing us to park in space already allocated to us. In the evening we returned to hotel and wanted a drink from the bar. It's wasn't overly late but the night porter made us feel like a pain wanting drinks and made a real meal out of opening the bar and serving us making it very clear he was not really happy to do so.

The location of the hotel is splendid! I had stayed there before so got the room I had expected. It is a well-equipped suite which has a balcony overlooking the street and some pageantry!
There are no longer in-room phones. I had to use my mobile phone for in-hotel communications with reception etc. This was repeatedly inconvenient. I found it all rather too strange an "advance"! A little short of mid-night, the fire alarm went off - twice. The guests evacuated the hotel into the street. Communication from the staff was non-existent. No all-clear was given, so we just had to drift back in on the assumption that nothing was any longer wrong.

Location was good.
Staff went out of their way to assist us in and out of the car park. This was a great help. Hotell also allowed us to leave the car earlier than stated when
Bar closed at 11pm so we could not have a night cap.
Basic amenities in the bathroom for the money charged. Towels were not soft and fluffy
Breakfast poor, over priced. There was no full fat milk available, so gave the lead staff member my cornflakes back!. Sliced bread was a cheap brand and dry. Only brown soda bread which you could not toast in the toaster. Eggs had been pre cooked tasted like rubber and cold. We were not offered fresh eggs and none came out of the kitchen whilst we had breakfast. No choice of eggs offered.
One lead staff member (lady) sounded over powering to junior members of staff whilst in the dinning room while we were having breakfast. Very unprofessional! Staff should not be spoken too in that manner whether in front of customers or privately!

Buffet breakfast with hot and cold if you can manage it all. Staff are attentive and knowledgeable. Great location and beds very comfortable.

The property is beautiful and you can't beat the location right in the heart of the hustle and the bustle. The staff is courteous and efficient and we had a nice meal in the restaurant.
Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the Windsor Castle.
There are no USB charging ports in our room nor an electric outlet in the bathroom. I think too that the carpeting could use a scrub.
I also had to dust my nightstand.
