It's my second time in this hotel, great location. Breakfast is good. Even had gluten-free cereal options.
Rooms are spacious.
The rooms we got were showing lots of signs of decay. The bathroom looked like it could have benefited from a clean with a limescale product.
One out of two rooms had 2 single beds. Even though we requested the 2 bed, they were very tiny, single bed like for kids.

The main areas of the hotel are beautifully kept and the location is bang on for a Windsor stay. Room was spacious. Staff member Matthew was absolutely amazing, the hotel is lucky to have him as part of the team.
Room 212: The bed was awful - mattress was lumpy and the bed frame squeaked any time you moved an inch. Room was situated next to an outdoor generator and had a window facing opposite our window so had to keep the curtains closed. Also, cleaning wasnt the best, lots of limescale and mirrors not properly cleaned. Maybe other rooms will provide a better stay. Unfortunately with all those little niggles, I cant say id return for the price point. Reception staff a little cold on arrival but other members of staff did make up for that.

I made a mistake and reserved in June instead of July, I noticed only when Booking sent an email asking how my stay was. Nevertheless, I rebooked in July and attempted to discuss this incident with the hotel (Booking did the same), but they completely ignored me. When I arrived, I checked in in person, and they offered a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was not so good..... But the hotel is very well located.

The hotel is beautiful and well placed.
I used the booking upgrade option and on arrival was told I was successful and charged accordingly. However when I reached the room, it wasn't the room I had paid to upgrade to as it was supposed to have a balcony. I returned to reception and they advised me that there were no balcony rooms available, however I had been charged for one. They offered a credit on departure for the difference in the balcony room to the room we were given but it did detract from the overall experience. I have tried to contact McDonald via email to explain but there has been absolutely no response.

Very good and excellent location
Unfortunately we had no lights in the evening. There was power but no lighting and despite mentioning it to staff they weren’t able to sort the problem. It was suggested we move rooms but at past 11pm we were tired and weren’t prepared to gather our belongings and do so.
