Prime location
Hotel is looking extremely tired and dated inside. Bedrooms need a complete refit, carpets dirty and stained. Bathroom smelly drains TV didn't work...connection cable had been cut. Whole place needs considerable investment.

Beautiful view
We had no warm water in the shower. We asked them to take a look. They sent a guy over after 20 minutes. He started the shower and said he would come back to check if it was warm in 5 minutes. But he never came back.
I called the reception 20 minutes later to ask about the guy, but they were not helpful. They said they would send a manager to check it.
We went out to eat in Marlow, and after 2 hours I called them for an update. They told me the maintenance had fixed the warm water and it was all good.
That night we arrive to the hotell, and we se that the shower is still running since the first mentioned staff had turned it on. Meaning, no one had went there to begin with to check on it and we got told a lie from the staff.
So we were furious and went to talk to the manager, and only then. 5 hours in to our stay we got moved to another room.
It’s unfortunate, that this is a place that doesn’t value their guests. Rather it’s a place that is sorry only when they get caught. I had never had an experience like this from any hotel on booking.

Probably the most run down hotel in the UK, in the best location
Not good value, needs gutting, takes 25 minutes to check in and longer to get a drink

Disappointing
The hotel is in an outstanding location with a lovely view of the wier and river, and within easy access of walking into the nice highstreet
The room and furnature was basis and very dated with old furnature. The bed (or at least mattress) was also old and in need of a replacement. There were no points to change an iphone.
In the bathroom, the vanity set / soap/ gels were very basis.
In the room for the coffee machine, we asked for a de-caf capsule but there were none available apparently.
The buffet breakfast was really disappointing. There was very little fresh fruit (only a mix from a tin) - no fresh strawberries or blueberres, and the quaity of the eggs and bacon was 5/10.
Paying nearly £400 a night you would expect a lot more than we received.
Most staff were not English and whilst they spoke English, for some it was with a very heavy accent.

Location was great.Room was comfortable .The girls at reception tried their best to be helpful and accommodating.They were very nice.The staff were friendly
Room wasn’t cleaned exceptionally well considering it was a higher end hotel.Maintainance of the hotel and room didn’t appear to be the best.The bathroom tap leaked/dripped in our bathroom continuously.The aircon shut itself off after awhile and you had to put it on again therefore disturbing sleep at night.The restaurant meals were very average considering the higher end of the hotel.The housekeeping ran out of shower caps..have never seen that before

Wonderful location, champagne in the garden bar was a great way to relax.
Rooms becoming tired. Service at breakfast fairly poor (breakfast served incomplete, no butter with toast) - and the notion of charging extra for a latte or eggs benedict at this room rate is insulting to guests.

We only had one meal there in the main Restaurant and it was excellent.
There was no phone in the room.
The Coffee machine had to be changed 3 times on arrival.
The curtains were all ripped on the sides and the nets had two huge holes in them.
We had hardly any water in the sink, not even enough to wash hands. Everything had to be done over the bath.
There was no hot water the first night and the next morning we called someone as it was still cold. He had to run it for about 15mins before it came warm. The sink tap we showed him and he said its pressure.
The staff at reception didn’t care they were difficult to understand.
We were in the left wing which was all a bit tatty, and we overlooked a dusty car park.
For the price we paid it was a rip off. Very disappointed overall.

Location is good for Henley Regatta. THey provide a good laundry service.
We were told that we had to order shower caps before arrival if we wanted one. There were far too many stairs, even going up to our bathroom. Breakfast food was not good. There were no lifts and being 80 i could not carry our luggage up or down stairs. I could not pay cash for our stay and was not warned that they did not take cash. There was no tranquillity in the garden because of ghastly music. We had to run the hot water in our room for about 2-3 minutes before it became ward. Some of the tables in the dining room were too close together and other guests bumped me on going between them.
