it's was just like going to Scarborough hotel but half the price beds were awful though it was going to break moving about all over and found pubic hair in bed. floor felt like I was walking up hill never again I would really like a refund please

This is not going to be good.
There are two burning issues: The Hotel’s safety and then its Staff.
Safety
Despite room 49 having been refurbished recently, there were signs that this Hotel was poorly maintained as the circuit breaker to the electric heated towel rail was faulty and the shower extraction fan didn’t work - both potential issues of fire safety or causing false fire alarms. Sure enough, that night the entire hotel was woken up and evacuated at 3am to series of fire alarms. Those guests accommodated in the low rise extension reached their muster point in the car park within minutes, however elderly pensioners staying on a Shearings package coach holiday were accommodated in the main 4 storey building and where having to scale the external fire escape in pitch darkness as the stairway had No lighting to assist them. Naturally this fire escape became congested with guests struggling to find their footing down the steep flight of stairs. No one took a roll call of guests or counted heads, No one issued any instructions or information, and there was simply No guidance or leadership from any staff. After 30 minutes when the alarms ran silent, there was No announcement of ‘all clear’ so guests simply re entered the Hotel at there own accord. The fire alarms sounded a further two times during the night - and on both occasions guests simply stayed in bed and ignored them.
This is what happens when large hotel chains seek to employ migrant Eastern European staff to maximise profits and save coasts. The night watchman on this occasion was simply overwhelmed, unprepared and not trained to cope with an emergency situation. The following morning I emailed the Chief Fire Inspector for Cumbria, who later told me that the Hotel was visited by the Cumbria Fire Service for a complete fire safety audit that afternoon.

The room was clean, the location was a good 30-40mins walk to the lake, reception staff were helpful, breakfast was ok typical cooked breakfast with cereal and toast,
The hotel look like it needed a good paint inside everywhere we went, which made it look a bit scruffy even in the hall ways the paint was hanging off skirting boards, I was thinking as we were checking in that the rooms would not be clean so was surprised when we entered our room that it was, the bathroom was a good size and modern
