Owners were friendly and attentive, could not have been nicer, good quality breakfast well prepared with good quality ingredients with plenty of biscuits and treats given during the stay.
There was a smell in the room we could not shift was like new plastic or a radiator painted not long ago but didnt impact the stay, as it was very warm could have done with a fan.

We really recommend Thornbank House to anyone would like to enjoy the Lake District, the location was perfect, few minutes walking to Windermere city centre and Windermere Lake.
The rooms were cleaned, organised and cozy.
Jane and Mark are wonderful hosts, they do everything by themselves, which was fascinating to us.
Unfortunately, we didnt try the breakfast there, but the smell was great :)
We definitely recommend Thornbank house to everyone.

The room was large and full of light. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee were provided in the room. A beautifully put together folder of things to do in and around Windermere including restaurants. Walking routes. Etc.
