Everything excellent food especially breakfast we had fish and chips first night only thing we liked as expensive and a la carte . Loved hotel rooms brilliant and spacious. Views amazing will be back . The little blonde girl was excellent but seemed do everything
The waitress in morning was hopeless I did catering for 20 years and certainly would not employ her and her attitude was awful

Our five-night stay at Holbeck Ghyll Country House in their Buttermere place was nothing short of extraordinary. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, and their friendly, hospitable, and caring demeanour made us feel like cherished guests. The location was a true gem, nestled in an idyllic setting with stunning views of Lake Windermere. The amenities were top-notch, and the historical charm of the building, once a hunting lodge, added an extra layer of character to our stay.
I would like to extend a special shoutout to the outstanding individuals who made our experience memorable. Tom, Emma, Rocco, and Rocco's colleague, thank you for your warm hospitality and attentiveness at Breakfast and Nightcaps at the bar. The chef's culinary creations were a delight for the senses, and the rest of the staff ensured that every aspect of our stay was exceptional.
Our time at Holbeck Ghyll Country House was a tranquil escape from our chaotic city life and we can't wait to return to this hidden paradise.More
