The 5-star Beaumont House is a Victorian property featuring many original features with a tranquil location, just yards from the heart of Windermere. It offers delicious cooked breakfasts, free Wi-Fi and free private parking, less than 10 minutes' walk away from Windermere Railway Station. Our rooms are sure to be desirable for any visitor of the lakes. Our lounge is no exception, equipped with comfy sofas and an honesty bar. Please be advised that your accommodations stay only includes a cold continental breakfast with a good selection of granolas and jams, toast, tea, coffee, berries, fruits, fruit salads, juices, and yogurts, in addition to more than six Corn Flex variations and much more. You can upgrade to an a la carte breakfast, which includes a hot, organic, or free-range breakfast with local produce created to order depending on your needs and tastes, for an extra £10 per person per day. Please note: The Health Center is not located on the property; it is off-site, just a 5-minute drive from Beaumont House. Opening hours: Monday to Thursday: 6:30 AM – 9:00 PM Friday: 6:30 AM – 8:00 PM Saturday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Sunday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Important Information: The last entry is accepted 30 minutes before closing time. You will need to bring your towel. As the health center is a collaborating partner, we have no control over their opening or closing times. They may close without prior notice due to unforeseen circumstances. Beaumont House holds no liability for lost or damaged property while using the Health Center’s facilities.

It was not a hotel it was a bed and breakfast. We thought the hotel was overpriced and didnt offer value for money for what we paid. It was just too expensive for what it was.

Simona was super lovely, warm, friendly and it felt like we staying in her spare room. House was redecorated recently all in warm cosy colours. Our Bedroom at the top of the stairs first floor, had a nice view, a lovely gold coloured king sized bed which was very comfortable, bathroom was a nice size, several spaces for parking and easy to walk into Windermere. Great organic breakfast choices (17.50 per person if not booked direct) which Simona bought same day early doors for added freshness so give choices night before.
Annoyingly the cheap bathroom door didnt fit very well so if you wanted to shut it, you had to give it a shove which made quite a noise and was a huge sloping gap of over 2 inches at the bottom at one end and good inch the other, so if privacy is something you appreciate and you dont want to shut the door at night, this room may not be for you. Room was made up unintentionally (I think we must have forgotten to leave out the do not disturb sign) and while they remade the bed by adding the cushions and bedspread back on, they didnt actually tidy the bottom sheet, which in our house usually is the thing that needs doing so I had to unpick the bed again to remake it. And my side had the extra duvet cover as duvet was a king, duvet cover was super kingjust a bit frustrating. I like a shower to be mid warm and finish cold, shower couldnt be warm, only quite hot or even hotter! No cold or tepid options.

Breakfasts didnt start until 8.30 - a bit late for those wanting to make the most of the local area and get out and about. Plug in air fresheners used throughout the building - in public areas as well as rooms - quite overpowering.

The room was nice and modern with a new onsuit, the 2 owners are so lovely they will get their way to help you. The breakfasts we're great nice rage for all people and cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend this guest house.
