Asked for copy of bill to be emailed and it wasn't . Having already paid Also pre authorised £50 on card on arrival not once but 3 times . Showed as pending for a week after on my card online .

The room was very roomy and comfortable. I find most hotel rooms in London to be quite small, but the room at The Lodge was quite spacious. The beds were lovely and I enjoyed having a bathroom with a large claw tub!
The complimentary breakfast was absolutely wonderful!
We will definitely stay here again!

Second time there and we were really happy to be back as we had a wonderful first experience. The staff is really nice and helpful, the place and location is great.
Breakfast is good, although we thought it had less choice this time around and felt less 'homemade'.
The room was clean but was located right above the kitchen/breakfast room and the doors to access it are very noisy. We could hear them either late at night or very early in the morning. Which was super annoying, even with ear plugs.

The Lodge was clean and had an amazing breakfast. The staff were exceptional. The hotel is perfect if you want to be in the Putney/Fulham area.
Our room was a tad snug and didn't have a refrigerator as advertised, but the staff took care of the problem effectively. Another issue was the lack of an elevator.

It was really nice to stay here. The room was clean, location is good, closer to the subway that you can directly reach to south kensington region or picadilly circus with two subway ride.

Great location in a quiet area near the tube station. Staff was extremely accommodating and the breakfast selection was excellent. I was traveling solo and felt comfortable having a glass of wine at the small bar. WiFi connectivity was solid.
My only small complaint was that I had stayed there earlier in the week and reserved a superior double, which was rather dark and small. When I returned I just got a standard double, which was much lighter, brighter and had a bigger bathroom with a tub. So going forward I will probably just reserve the standard (slightly less square footage but much more comfortable).

Considering the otherwise high rating, the hotel offers comfort, a good location, and friendly staff, but several operational and policy‑related issues noticeably reduce the overall experience. The hotel is conveniently located with a public bus stop right next to the entrance, making it very easy to get around London. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet and pleasant, which contributed to a peaceful stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and ensured good sleep quality. I also appreciated the generous amount of toiletries provided in the room. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the stay, which created a positive overall atmosphere.
Although a refrigerator is mentioned in the reservation details, only a minibar is provided. A minibar is intended for hotel‑supplied items at an additional charge and cannot be used in the same way as a refrigerator for storing personal food and drinks. Upper floors are accessible only by stairs, which can be inconvenient when carrying luggage. The coffee quality is poor, both in the room and at breakfast. The damage deposit policy is particularly disappointing. While the hotel clearly states that a £50 deposit will be withheld prior to arrival, charging every guest in advance does not feel appropriate. There is no joint inspection with the guest at check‑in and check‑out, yet the refund still takes several days after departure. In my opinion, this should be treated as a business risk and managed by the hotel rather than by temporarily taking guests’ money. Wi‑Fi was not working during the stay, despite previous guest feedback indicating this has been an ongoing issue. The room also had a very small window, approximately 100 × 60 cm, which opens only slightly at the top and bottom, resulting in limited ventilation and natural light. The thick carpet flooring makes it difficult to move wheeled luggage. Additionally, the hotel has not completed Booking.com’s “Travel Proud” training. Indirectly related, the nearby underground stations do not have elevators or lifts, meaning guests need to carry luggage up and down stairs.
