The room and overall ambiance were great, very comfortable bed and room equipped with everything you need for comfortable stay. Also what is important - room was quiet, allowing good rest. The staff of the hotel went above and beyond to make they stay enjoyable: for example, when I needed a very rushed bite - kitchen did it in a blink of an eye. Good location with short walk to the tube and bus stop right in front.
I definitely will go back to this hotel. It was one of the best stays in London I have ever had.

Hotel has great staff, they helped me print and scan important documents efficiently. It was a bonus for my trip.
Room service was also very prompt and breakfast was great.
My room felt a little claustrophobic. It was classic room I think and it faced a wall of a building opposite, so it was a little uncomfortable.
Plus I had the hotel at a good price, but for the next night the prices were more regular and I felt it was overpriced. Because I found a boutique hotel in Knightsbridge for that price. So the prices are sometimes not right.

We love staying at The Lodge, usually returning at least once a year. Bedding is high quality and clean, staff always friendly and helpful.
Breakfast offered a wide choice. Everything was fresh and of good quality

Great location for our needs.
This time we stayed in a 'classic' room. It was quite small and relatively basic, compared to other rooms we have stayed in at The Lodge. In particular, the bathroom was too small to be comfortably used and was in need of some maintenance - split and missing sealant in the tiling and round the WC, for example.
The 'city view' was of a flat roof, with 16 AC units right next to the window and a massive extractor duct.
The room was next to a staircase and was quite noisy at times.
