Very Good
The location! The included cooked breakfast.
The clean and comfortable room.
That there was no interior chain lock on the bedroom door… anyone with a key could have come in… and the nights I was there there were footsteps outside my room around 1 am.. very creepy.

Location on the high street was great. Comfortable room although too hot and radiator wouldn't turn down. Friendly staff.
Breakfast was a bit stingy - only one rasher of bacon and one tiny sausage. Although there is a bar, we never saw anyone in it. No restaurant in the evening although the staff did offer to get us fish and chips.

Great location, staff helped me with my bags
There was no elevator and the reception desk was often unattended. Breakfast wasn't included.

The location was excellent. The staff were lovely and very helpful.
I think the plumbing may have a blockage. There was a smell emanating from the bathroom.
The shower door was very narrow.

Nice sized and comfortable room. Great location in central Thame. Breakfast was good. On raising the issues with the hotel (see below) a partial refund was immediately forthcoming.
Downside was that only one of the two windows could be opened and it was a very warm night. With no aircon and only a deskfan it was very difficult to sleep. Also, cold water in the bathroom sink only only came through in a very small trickle and the soap dispenser in the shower was empty!

The staff were efficient and friendly and the room was comfortable although we struggled a bit with opening the door to the room. we liked having a downstairs room which opened onto a garden so we could sit outside.
Breakfast was adequate but we expected a little more variety in the buffet.
We did not have an evening meal but on looking at the menu it was limited and the restaurant did not look very welcoming.

Folks it’s £75.10 a night including an excellent cooked breakfast. What do you expect. I thought it excellent value for money.
Staff a little indifferent and not exactly engaging

We have previously stayed at the Spread Eagle. However, this time we stayed in one of the garden rooms. It was very nice. Spacious with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and side cabinets so, plenty of room to back clothes and items away. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well.
The restaurant food was delicious, simple traditional english food very well cooked. We had the fish and chips both evenings and it was lovely, not at all greasy. The breakfast choice was also very good, with a buffet for cereals and extra toast if you wanted it, and also cooked breakfast options.
We paid half board which meant that we had up to £30.00 to spend on our evening meal, which was more than enough for two courses. The deal was excellent value. Note there is a nice spacious car park to the rear of the hotel but you do have to pay £5.00 a day. On the plus side, you get a full day so, even if you check out at 11.00am on Sunday, you can still be parked in the carpark which is very useful.
We will definitely stay at the Spread Eagle again. It is definitely becoming a favourite of ours. The only reason we didn't give the rating as excellent was because of the issues that we had with the shower and tv. Hopefully when we next stay it will all be perfect it the rating will be 5 stars.
The rooms' central heating wasn't on but there was an electric heater which we used and was very efficient as it made the room nice and warm. We had an issue with the overheard shower which only ran cold and very oddly the television red light (standby) flashed blue in the middle of the night which woke my partner up. When we mentioned these issues with the hotel manager he was very apologetic and didn't charge us for the wine that we had had with our evening meal.
